Tiger-Vac CD-10/7 EX (MRP - EXTENDED)
ATEX Zone 21 industrial vacuum cleaner with MRP-EXTENDED reverse purge system for combustible and conductive dust
The Tiger-Vac CD-10/7 EX (MRP-EXTENDED) 2GD Z21 is a high-performance industrial vacuum cleaner designed specifically for dust-explosive environments. Certified for internal Zone 20 and external Zone 21, it is approved for the safe collection of combustible and conductive dust in facilities without the presence of flammable gases. This makes it ideal for pharmaceutical production, metal powder handling, additive manufacturing, food processing and chemical applications.
- ATEX: II 1/2D – internal Zone 20 / external Zone 21.
- MRP-EXTENDED reverse purge — EX-safe automatic filter cleaning system.
- Suitable for Dust Group IIIC (conductive metal dust, organic powders, additives, etc.).
- Stainless steel construction (AISI 304/316) for all air-contact components.
- Built for long operating cycles and continuous-duty process work.
- Uses a conductive aluminized spunbond filter cartridge compatible with reverse purge cleaning.
Application and design
The vertical, compact design makes the CD-10/7 EX (MRP-EXTENDED) suitable for installations with limited floor space, such as filling lines, mixing areas, powder transfer stations, granulation and metal powder operations. The stainless-steel recovery tank is fully detachable, allowing fast and hygienic emptying in controlled environments.
Safety and certification
- ATEX II 1/2D – Ex h IIIC T50°C Da (internal) / Ex h tb IIIC T135°C Db IP65 (external).
- No gas certification — not approved for Zone 1 or Zone 2.
- Certified for conductive dust — total system resistance below 10 Ω.
- IP65 motor enclosure provides safe operation in metal dust environments.
- Complies with EN 17348 for combustible dust collection.
Technical note
This Z21 version is the optimal choice for environments where only dust explosion hazards are present. It retains the same robust MRP-EXTENDED cleaning system as the gas-and-dust version, but without the EX-db gas enclosure. This reduces complexity and cost, making the unit highly attractive for metal powder production, additive manufacturing, plastics, food powders, chemical powders and pharmaceutical processes where solvent vapours are not present.

FAQ
How is this model different from the Z1-2-21-22 version?
The Z21 version is dust-only. It must not be used in gas zones. The Z1-2-21-22 model is certified for both gas and dust.
Which dust types can it collect?
Conductive and combustible dust (Dust Group IIIC), including metal powders, organic powders, plastics, chemical powders and fine industrial particulates.
What filter cleaning system does it use?
MRP-EXTENDED reverse purge — an EX-protected impulse cleaning system.
Is it suitable for cleanrooms?
Yes — the stainless-steel design and antistatic filter configuration make it suitable for controlled environments.
