Tiger-Vac CD-1200 EX SS MAN 1/2GD

ATEX dust collector for process-related extraction of airborne dust in Zone 1 and 21

Tiger-Vac CD-1200 EX SS MAN 1/2GD is a mobile ATEX-certified dust collector designed for process-related extraction of airborne and suspended dust in industrial environments with explosion risk. The unit is engineered for continuous duty and operates on the principle of low pressure and high airflow, making it suitable for capturing dust directly at open process points.

The dust collector is manufactured in stainless steel and equipped with an ATEX-certified blower. With a documented airflow of 2,000 m³/h, the CD-1200 EX can be used for process extraction via two Ø150 mm extraction arms or a single Ø200 mm hose or duct connection.

Applications

CD-1200 EX SS MAN is used for process-related point extraction where dust is released into the air and ATEX-compliant extraction is required. The unit is suitable for open processes where airborne dust must be captured before spreading into the working environment.

The manual filter cleaning system makes this model suitable for processes with intermittent dust loads, where the operator controls the filter cleaning cycle.

  • Process extraction at open mixers and process equipment
  • Point extraction during filling, dosing and manual handling
  • Extraction above conveyors and material transfer points
  • Recovery of airborne, combustible and conductive dust

Key features

  • ATEX marking: II 1/2GD
  • Suitable for Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust)
  • Internally designed for Zone 20 (dust)
  • Airflow: 2,000 m³/h
  • Manual filter cleaning – Manual Reverse Purge (MRP)
  • Conductive aluminized spun-bond filter cartridges
  • Stainless steel construction (Type 304)

Technical design

The dust collector is equipped with a third-party certified, continuous duty 3-phase TEFC motor suitable for ATEX applications. The filtration section consists of conductive filter cartridges, cleaned manually using a reverse purge compressed-air system. Collected dust is discharged into a pull-out dust drawer with a capacity of 10 litres.

All wheels and components are electrically conductive, and the unit is designed as an ESD-safe system to minimise the risk of electrostatic discharge.

Optional equipment

  • Dust extraction arms: 2 × Ø150 mm or 1 × Ø200 mm
  • HEPA filter module (optional)
  • Differential pressure gauge (filter blockage indicator)
  • Wall mounting bracket for extraction arms
  • Hemipleat® filter cartridges

Safety and certification

  • ATEX marking: II 1/2GD
  • External protection: Ex db h IIB T4 Gb / Ex h tb IIIC T135°C Db IP65
  • Internal protection: Ex h IIC T6 Ga / Ex h IIIC T50°C Da
  • Standard: EN 17348:2022 – Dry Type (combustible dust collection)
  • Notified Body: LCIE

Technical note

The CD-1200 EX SS MAN is designed for the recovery of dry, combustible and conductive dust.
Correct selection of ATEX category, conductive accessories and effective grounding is essential for safe operation.
The unit is not intended for the extraction of explosive gases.
