Tiger-Vac CD-35L (DT) EX (MRP) EXTENDED 2D

ATEX Zone 21 industrial vacuum cleaner with Reverse Purge filter system

The Tiger-Vac CD-35L (DT) EX (MRP) EXTENDED CAT. 2D Z21 is an ATEX-certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible and conductive dusts in ATEX Zone 21 environments. The unit is classified II 2D with internal Zone 20 (filter and recovery chamber) and external Zone 21 protection, making it suitable for Dust Groups IIIA, IIIB and IIIC, including conductive metal dust such as aluminium and magnesium.

Reverse Purge filter system (MRP)

This model features Tiger-Vac’s Manual Reverse Purge (MRP) system, where a powerful reverse airflow pulse cleans the primary filter cartridge without manual shaking. The primary filter is a static dissipative, aluminized spun-bond cartridge that provides high mechanical strength, low pressure drop and excellent performance with fine dry dusts.

Technical design and construction

The CD-35L is built with a continuous-duty 3-phase TEFC explosion-proof motor. The main body and the 35 L detachable recovery tank (DT) are made from AISI 304 stainless steel and mounted on a durable, powder-coated steel cart. A Safety Filter & Filter Cage are included as secondary protection. The entire system is ESD-safe with a total resistance below 10 ohms.

Advanced filtration options

For applications requiring high-efficiency filtration, the unit can be equipped with a downstream HEPA H14 filter (99.995% @ 0.3 µm) or ULPA U15 (99.9995% @ 0.12 µm). All Tiger-Vac HEPA/ULPA filters are aerosol leak tested in accordance with EN 1822 and IEST RP standards.

Safety and certification

The external motor and switch box are IP65 rated for safe use in the presence of conductive metal dust (Dust Group IIIC). The model is third-party certified with the ATEX marking II 2D Ex h tb IIIC T135°C Db IP65 and complies with EN 17348 for combustible dust collection.
