Compact ATEX Zone 21 industrial vacuum cleaner with manual filter shaker (MFS)
The Tiger-Vac CD-4 EX (MFS) CAT. 2D Z21 is a compact ATEX-certified industrial vacuum cleaner engineered for the safe recovery of combustible dust in Zone 21 classified areas. The internal filtration chamber is certified for Zone 20, while the external construction is approved for Zone 21, making it suitable for Dust Groups IIIA, IIIB and IIIC – including conductive metal dust such as aluminium and magnesium.
Manual Filter Shaker (MFS)
The unit features Tiger-Vac’s Manual Filter Shaker (MFS) system, allowing the operator to clean the filter element efficiently without disassembly. The primary filter is an antistatic polyester cartridge offering high surface area, long service life and stable performance with fine dry dust.
Removable recovery tank and stainless steel filter section
The CD-4 EX includes a 4-gallon (approx. 15 litre) detachable stainless steel recovery tank, ensuring fast and safe emptying. The filter chamber is made from AISI 304 stainless steel, while the motor section is mounted on a powder-coated steel frame with heavy-duty wheels for stability and manoeuvrability.
EX motor for continuous duty operation
A powerful 3-phase TEFC explosion-proof motor drives the system and is designed for 24/7 continuous duty. Both motor and switch box are IP65-rated and suitable for conductive dust from Dust Group IIIC.
Optional HEPA H14 filtration
The unit can be fitted with an optional downstream HEPA H14 filter (99.995% at 0.3 µm). All HEPA cartridges are aerosol leak-tested according to EN 1822 and IEST RP procedures.
