The Tiger-Vac CD-55L (DT) EX (MFS) CAT. 2GD Z1-21 is an ATEX and IECEx certified industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible and electrically conductive dusts in areas classified as both Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust). The system is built as a continuous-duty EX unit with internal Category 1G/1D (Zone 0/20) and external Category 2G/2D (Zone 1/21), providing the highest level of protection in environments with gas and dust explosion hazards.
Designed for safe ATEX environments
The CD-55L is equipped with a powerful 3-phase TEFC explosion-proof motor and a True Cyclone Separator at the suction intake to reduce filter loading and enhance suction performance. The unit is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel with a heavy-duty powder-coated cart and features a 55 L detachable tank (DT) for safe and easy disposal. The system is ESD-safe with total resistance below 10 ohms and includes a complete set of static dissipative Ø50 mm accessories.
Star-shaped primary filter with manual shaker
The vacuum is equipped with a specially designed static dissipative star-shaped primary filter (8-pocket) with PTFE coating and RZ lamination, offering high filtration efficiency for fine, dry dusts. The Manual Filter Shaker (MFS) ensures effective on-demand filter cleaning during operation, prolonging filter life and maintaining optimal airflow.
HEPA filtration and available options
For applications requiring high-end particle control, the system supports optional upstream HEPA filters (99.99% @ 0.3 µm) and downstream HEPA H14 (99.995% @ 0.3 µm). All Tiger-Vac HEPA systems are aerosol-leak-tested prior to shipment and compliant with OSHA and EN 1822 standards.
