ATEX 1/2GD industrial vacuum cleaner for wet and dry recovery

The Tiger-Vac CD-63L EX (WET & DRY) 1/2GD is a high-performance ATEX-certified industrial vacuum designed for the safe recovery of liquids, sludge, combustible dust and conductive materials. Unlike traditional ATEX vacuums, this model is purpose-built for combined wet and dry recovery, equipped with a liquid filter, wet floater system and dry filter to allow seamless switching between operations without compromising safety.

The unit is fully third-party certified for use in gas and dust atmospheres (IECEx and ATEX) and approved for internal Zone 20, meaning it is legally permitted for the direct recovery of combustible and conductive dust inside the tank and filter chamber. A complete static dissipative tool kit is included as standard.

Safe wet and dry operation inside ATEX zones

The CD-63L EX is ideal for environments where both liquid and dust hazards are present – such as metalworking, pharma, chemical production, food processing, spill recovery, tank cleaning or additive manufacturing. The system is designed to prevent electrostatic discharge and maintains a total system resistivity below 10 Ω.

Both wet and dry materials are collected into the same tank (56.8 L dry – 64.4 L liquid). The wet floater mechanism automatically stops suction when the tank reaches maximum liquid capacity, protecting the motor and filter system.

Technical note

This model is especially valuable because it safely handles liquids and combustible dust using the same EX-rated system – a capability that usually requires two separate machines. It is ideal for hybrid atmospheres or facilities with alternating wet and dry process residues. Installation must include correct bonding/grounding of hoses, piping and operator.
