Tiger-Vac EXP1-10 (IT-40L) EX DT (CFE) HEPA
Zone 21 certified vacuum cleaner with liquid bath for large amounts of explosive dust
The Tiger-Vac CD-IT (85L) EX (CFE) HEPA is a powerful industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the most demanding cleaning tasks in indoor shooting ranges and other high-risk environments. With Notified Body certification (LCIE 03 ATEX 6295 X) and H14 HEPA filtration, it effectively neutralizes both gunpowder and metal dust – fully compliant with the strictest EU ATEX and occupational health requirements.
Certified safety – ATEX Zone 21
The CD-IT operates in an internal Zone 20 environment, where dust concentration is always high. That is why it is certified for use in Zone 21 (II 1/2GD) and equipped with liquid bath technology. Dust is immediately neutralized in inert oil, preventing sparks, heat, and static electricity from igniting an explosive atmosphere. The certification is issued by Notified Body 0081, providing documented safety.
Why the liquid bath is critical
Experience shows that even ATEX vacuums can be insufficient in Zone 21 if they collect explosive dust dry. Collection in a liquid bath is therefore essential: the CD-IT’s oil neutralization breaks the ignition chain inside the tank – a requirement for safe handling of gunpowder, reactive metals, and unknown dust.
Complete protection and high capacity
The CD-IT combines H14 HEPA filtration (99.995% retention at MPPS according to EN 1822 and OSHA) with full ESD grounding, a CFE coalescer for moisture removal, and a robust 85-liter stainless steel tank. The detachable tank ensures safe disposal of collected materials, while the powerful 3-phase 400 V motor setup makes the model suitable for continuous operation in facilities with large amounts of dust.
Application areas
ATEX Zone 21 (with liquid bath):
- Bullet traps and backstops with large amounts of gunpowder and metal dust
- Emptying of containers and filters with unknown or reactive dust
- Reloading areas with loose gunpowder and high spill risk
- Technical rooms, shafts, and conveyors with accumulated dust
- Shooting houses, container ranges, and large indoor facilities
Supplementary HEPA H14 protection:
- Changing rooms and exit zones to reduce lead contamination
- Corridors and storage areas
- Maintenance areas and workshops
