Tiger-Vac EXP1-35L (DT) RE HEPA (MFS) 2GD

ATEX 2GD industrial vacuum cleaner for pharmaceutical powders and combustible dust

The Tiger-Vac EXP1-35L (DT) RE HEPA (MFS) is a compact and fully ESD-safe ATEX 2GD industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of combustible and conductive dust in environments where both gas and dust explosion risks may be present. Its stainless steel AISI 304 construction, high-efficiency filtration system and static dissipative accessories make it ideal for pharmaceutical production, laboratories and cleanrooms where process safety and contamination control are critical.

  • ATEX marking: II 2GD Ex d IIA T3 Gb / Ex t IIIC T200°C Db IP6X, -5 °C ≤ Ta ≤ +37 °C.
  • Single-phase explosion-proof and dust-ignition-proof motor (1 kW) with high filtration efficiency.
  • All product-contact surfaces in AISI 304 stainless steel with a 35 L detachable tank.
  • Delivered with a complete static dissipative Ø38 mm tool kit and HEPA filter as standard.

Technical construction

The EXP1-35L (DT) RE HEPA (MFS) is equipped with a static dissipative PTFE main filter supported by a wire cage and an integrated HEPA H14 final filter (99.995% at 0.3 μm, tested according to EN 1822 and IEST-RP-CC001). The manual filter shaker (MFS) ensures effective filter cleaning without compressed air. The 35 L detachable recovery tank allows clean, controlled disposal and can be used together with a conductive poly liner for low-exposure dust handling.

The unit is mounted on a robust 4-wheel trolley with tool basket. Wheels are static dissipative or conductive depending on configuration. A full stainless-steel AISI 304 trolley can be selected for demanding cleanroom or pharmaceutical environments.

Pharma and cleanroom applications

The vacuum cleaner is cleanroom compatible down to ISO Class 4 (formerly Class 10) when operated correctly. It is specifically engineered for handling APIs, tablet and capsule dust, excipients, fine powders and all general pharmaceutical process materials. The enlarged 35 L capacity provides extended runtime for batch production.

A conductive poly liner (35–38 L) can be used for safe, low-emission disposal. The liner allows the collected material to be sealed inside a conductive bag directly in the tank, reducing operator exposure and cross-contamination risks.

Safety and certification

  • ATEX third-party certified by LCIE (LCIE 03 ATEX 6297).
  • Compliant with EN 17348 DT for the safe recovery of combustible dust.
  • Complete ESD protection with total system resistance below 10 ohms.
  • HEPA H14 final filter included; ULPA filtration available on request.

Tools and options

The vacuum is supplied with a complete Ø38 mm static dissipative tool kit including hose, 2-piece wand, universal floor tool with conductive brushes and rubber blades, crevice tool, round brush, conductive conical rubber nozzle and a multimeter for ESD testing. Optional conductive crushproof hoses and additional nozzles are available.

Technical note

The EXP1-35L (DT) RE HEPA (MFS) is designed for the safe recovery of combustible, conductive and metallic dust when used with the supplied static dissipative accessories. To maintain ATEX compliance, all connected hoses, tools and piping must be static dissipative or conductive and must form part of a properly bonded and grounded system, including the vacuum, suction point and operating procedures.

FAQ

What does the ATEX marking mean?
II 2GD Ex d IIA T3 Gb / Ex t IIIC T200°C Db IP6X indicates certification for use in Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust) with a dust-tight enclosure and combustible dust compliance according to EN 17348 DT.

Is the vacuum suitable for pharmaceutical and cleanroom environments?
Yes. All product-contact components are stainless steel AISI 304, and the unit is suitable for cleanrooms down to ISO Class 4.

Can it be used for conductive or metallic dust?
Yes — when used together with the supplied static dissipative tool kit and correct bonding/grounding procedures.

What filtration level does the HEPA filter provide?
A HEPA H14 final filter with 99.995% efficiency at 0.3 μm, aerosol leak-tested before shipment.

Is dust-free disposal available?
Yes, via conductive poly liners (35–38 L) that minimise exposure and contamination during tank emptying.
