The Tiger-Vac SS-10 (IT-40L) DT RE HEPA 2GD PNEUMATIC is a professional inert and ATEX-certified vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery and neutralisation of both water- and oil-compatible metallic dusts. The enhanced Wet Mix immersion system supports the use of either water or inert oil, allowing the liquid to be selected according to the reactivity of the material. The SS-10 uses a pneumatic Venturi system with no electrical components, making it ideal for environments where electrical equipment is restricted or undesirable.

Liquid type, materials and compatibility

This model is a Water or Oil inert system. Water is suitable for non-reactive metals such as aluminium, copper, brass, steel, nickel alloys and AM metal powders where the SDS confirms no reaction with water. Oil is required for water-reactive or pyrophoric metals such as magnesium, lithium, zirconium and pyrophoric titanium AM powders. The user must always verify the correct liquid type according to the SDS.

Technical construction and filtration

The SS-10 (IT-40L) operates with a Venturi pneumatic system, documented in ATEX certificate LCIE 03 ATEX 6310 X, ensuring fully non-electric operation and continuous duty without overheating. Dust is drawn into the liquid bath through the Mini Enhanced immersion separator, followed by a coalescing filter element (CFE) and a downstream HEPA H14 filter. The unit includes a degassing vent, a liquid level indicator, an SS304 stainless steel tank and a conductive wet recovery bag for safe sludge handling.

Safety features

The unit is ATEX 2GD certified (Ex h IIC T6 Gb / Ex h IIIC T85°C Db) and meets EN 17348 for combustible and self-heating dusts. Proper inertisation requires correct liquid level, correct choice of water or oil, grounding, and the use of approved antistatic accessories. Only metallic dust may be recovered—organic dust is prohibited. The conductive wet recovery bag enhances safety when handling reactive sludge.
