Tiger-Vac SS-25 HRS TE (HY-C) 2GD
Pneumatic explosion proof vacuum cleaner for hydrazine and other highly reactive fuels – stainless steel, ESD safe, with coalescing filter system (CFE)
The Tiger-Vac SS-25 HRS TE (HY-C) 2GD is a purpose-built pneumatic vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of rocket and aircraft fuels such as hydrazine, monomethylhydrazine (MMH) and UDMH, as well as other highly reactive chemicals and solvents.
The entire system is constructed of AISI 304 stainless steel with electrical continuity < 10 Ω and contains no electrical components.
Driven by compressed air through the Venturi principle, it ensures a completely spark-free and ignition-proof operation in explosive atmospheres.
The unit features a CFE – Coalescing Filter Element which efficiently separates liquids and vapors, preventing contamination of the compressed-air system.
Mounted on a hydraulic lift cart (HY-C), the collection tank can be safely raised and discharged directly into approved containers without manual handling or risk of spillage.
SS-25 HRS TE (HY-C) is used by defense, aerospace and aviation facilities for handling hydrazine, JP-8, Jet A-1 and similar fuels where the highest level of explosion safety and material integrity is required.

Technical note
SS-25 HRS TE (HY-C) 2GD is ATEX-certified II 2GD Ex h IIC T6 Gb / Ex h IIIC T85 °C Db (–4 °C ≤ Ta ≤ +40 °C) and IECEx-approved by LCIE.
The system has been tested according to EN 17348 (Liquids Collection) and is specifically developed for the recovery of low-conductivity, toxic and corrosive liquids.
The coalescing filter protects the compressed-air source, while the hydraulic lift allows controlled emptying into closed, approved containers.
All components are conductive, corrosion-resistant and easily disassembled for decontamination.
FAQ
What is the HRS model designed for?
HRS (Hydrazine Recovery System) is engineered for the safe collection of extremely reactive fuels such as hydrazine, monomethylhydrazine (MMH) and UDMH, as well as related rocket and aircraft propellants.
It is used in aerospace environments where no electrical equipment is permitted.
How does the Coalescing Filter Element (CFE) work?
The CFE element separates liquids and vapors by coalescing microscopic droplets into larger ones that safely drain into the collection tank.
It protects both the operator and the compressed-air supply from contamination by hydrazine or other toxic substances.
Is the system completely non-electric?
Yes. The SS-25 HRS TE (HY-C) operates entirely on compressed air and contains no motors, relays or electrical wiring.
The Venturi system creates vacuum using airflow only, eliminating any ignition source.
Can it handle other fuels besides hydrazine?
Yes. It has been tested for recovery of jet and rocket fuels such as JP-8, Jet A-1, and other low-conductivity liquids, solvents and degreasers.
How is the tank emptied?
The collection tank is mounted on a hydraulic lift cart (HY-C), allowing the operator to raise and discharge the liquid directly into closed, approved containers – with no manual lifting or exposure risk.
Are the materials resistant to hydrazine?
Yes. All wetted parts are made of AISI 304 stainless steel with antistatic and chemically resistant surfaces.
All seals are selected for maximum compatibility with hydrazine, ammonia and aggressive vapors.
