The Tiger-Vac SS-55 (DM / DMB) TE 2GD series consists of pneumatic, explosion proof industrial vacuum cleaners made of AISI 304 stainless steel.
They are designed for the safe recovery of flammable liquids and vapors in ATEX Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust).
The system contains no electrical or mechanical moving parts and operates entirely by compressed air using the Venturi principle, making it ideal for use in hazardous atmospheres where electrical equipment is not permitted.
All models are third-party certified by LCIE and IECEx and come with a 55-gallon (151 L) stainless steel tank, tilt cart, and drain valve.
The **DMB (Dead Man Brake)** version features a braking system on all four wheels and a reinforced chassis, ideal for stationary use in hangars, depots and chemical environments.
The series is used for defueling and depuddling of F-16, F-35 and other aircraft, as well as for the recovery of solvents and chemicals in industrial and defense applications.

Certified by LCIE (LCIE 03 ATEX 6310 X) and IECEx LCIE 17.0076 X according to EN ISO 80079-36 and EN 17348 (LC – Liquids Collection).
All models are ESD safe (< 10 Ω), built entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel and pneumatically driven without any electrical components.
Supplied with tilt cart, conductive wheels and drain valve.
Options include activated carbon filter, H14 HEPA filter, grounding reel, floor-tool kit and pump kit.
FAQ
What does DM and DMB mean?
DM is the standard version with tilt cart. DMB includes a Dead Man Brake – an automatic safety brake that locks movement during operation.
Which ATEX zones does the model cover?
ATEX Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust). Tested according to EN 17348 (LC) for liquid collection in hazardous areas.
Is it completely non-electric?
Yes. The system operates entirely by compressed air and contains no electrical or rotating parts, eliminating any risk of sparks.
