Tiger-Vac SS-ARU-15 EX (HY-C) MRAC 2GD

Pneumatic ATEX & IECEx 2GD acid and chemical recovery vacuum on Hydro-Cart for wet applications

Tiger-Vac SS-ARU-15 EX (HY-C) MRAC is a static-dissipative, air-operated industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of acids and corrosive liquids. The unit is third-party ATEX certified by LCIE (II 2GD – Ex h IIC T6 Gb / Ex h IIIC T85 °C Db, LCIE 03 ATEX 6310 X) and IECEx certified (IECEx LCIE 17.0076X). Suitable for use in areas where flammable gases (Zone 1) and combustible dusts (Zone 21) may occur. Supplied with HEPA final filter, liquid filter, and a complete static-dissipative tool kit. Optional activated-carbon cartridges are available for adsorption of acid vapors (HCl, HF, etc.).

  • Pneumatic operation (Venturi): Single 6 mm; requires 15 HP compressor and ½" (12.7 mm) air line. Input 21.2 L/s at 5.5 bar.
  • Performance: Airflow 187 m³/h; vacuum 4 320 mm H₂O.
  • Recovery: Wet recovery of corrosive liquids – 47.3 L capacity – mounted on Hydro-Cart (HYC) with integrated drain.
  • Filtration & materials: HEPA 99.995 % (0.3 µm, CE) + liquid filter; static-dissipative and acid-resistant PE / nylon / PVC.
  • Included accessories: ½" × 15 m air hose, Ø38 mm × 3 m suction hose, ¾" × 1.5 m drain hose with Camlock, conductive wand, two crevice nozzles (91 and 30.5 cm), 32 / 300 mm floor tool with grey squeegee blades, multimeter.

Safety, environment & applications

  • ATEX 2GD (Zone 1 / 21): Ex h IIC T6 Gb / Ex h IIIC T85 °C Db – certified by LCIE (notified body).
  • IECEx: IECEx LCIE 17.0076X – tested to ISO 80079-36 (non-electrical equipment).
  • Corrosive recovery: Designed for acid and chemical liquid collection with Hydro-Cart drain system. Activated carbon (KINA3/KOGC3, Mersorb, A-3) available as options.
  • Cleanroom & pharma: Cleanroom-compatible; ideal for pharmaceutical, chemical and laboratory applications.
  • ESD control: Static dissipative construction – always use conductive/dissipative hoses and proper grounding.

Technical note

When recovering acids or corrosive liquids in potentially explosive atmospheres, always use appropriate PPE, chemical-resistant tools, and verified grounding continuity. The Hydro-Cart system ensures controlled draining and safe liquid handling. Select activated carbon according to the medium (e.g., KINA3 for acid/chloride vapors). If no carbon cartridge is installed, use the flanged ring with gasket to seal the system.
