Pneumatic ATEX 2GD acid and chemical recovery vacuum for wet collection
Tiger-Vac SS-ARU-15 EX (TC) MRAC is a static dissipative, air-operated industrial vacuum cleaner designed for the safe recovery of acids and other corrosive liquids. The unit is third-party ATEX certified by LCIE (II 2GD – Ex h IIC T6 Gb / Ex h IIIC T85 °C Db, LCIE 03 ATEX 6310 X) and approved for use in areas where flammable gases (Zone 1) and combustible dust (Zone 21) may be present. Supplied with a HEPA final filter, liquid filter assembly, and a complete static-dissipative tool kit. Optional activated carbon cartridges are available for vapor adsorption (HCl, HF, etc.).
- Pneumatic operation (Venturi): Single 6 mm venturi; requires a minimum 15 HP compressor and 1/2" (12.7 mm) airline. Input: 21.2 L/s at 5.5 bar.
- Performance: Airflow 187 m³/h; vacuum pressure 4,320 mm H₂O.
- Recovery: Wet recovery of corrosive liquids – 47.3 L capacity. Mounted on a stainless steel Tilt Cart.
- Filtration & materials: HEPA 99.995 % (0.3 µm) + liquid filter; static dissipative and acid-resistant PE/nylon/PVC construction.
- Included accessories: 1/2" × 15 m air hose, Ø38 mm × 3 m suction hose, 3/4" × 1.5 m drain hose with Camlock, conductive wand, two crevice nozzles (91 cm & 30.5 cm), 32/300 mm floor tool with grey squeegee blades, and multimeter.

- Cleanroom & pharma use: Cleanroom-compatible; ideal for pharma, chemical, and laboratory environments handling corrosive liquids.
- ESD control: Static dissipative build; always use conductive/dissipative hoses and ensure proper grounding.
Technical note
When recovering acids or corrosive liquids in potentially explosive atmospheres, ensure proper PPE use, chemical-resistant accessories, and verified grounding continuity. Select activated carbon according to the vapor type (e.g., KINA3 for chloride/acid vapors) and follow manufacturer’s maintenance intervals. When no carbon cartridge is used, install the flanged ring with gasket for sealing.
