Abrasion-resistant
HEDUFLEX/GRECATO
HEDUFLEX/GRECATO is a suction and pressure hose in black SBR rubber with a steel spiral, textile plies, a smooth bore and a vertically corrugated cover. The manufacturer lists water, wastewater, slurry, hose pumps and extraction among its uses. The normal temperature range is −30 to +85°C. The hose is supplied in five sizes from inner Ø 76 to 203 mm with a working pressure of 6 bar, burst pressure of 18 bar and vacuum of 0.9 bar. An EPDM version is available from inner Ø 19 to 76 mm.

Why this hose?
HEDUFLEX/GRECATO has an SBR rubber inner tube and cover, an embedded steel spiral and textile plies. The bore is smooth, and the cover is wrapped and vertically corrugated.
Working pressure is 6 bar, burst pressure 18 bar and vacuum 0.9 bar in all sizes. The manufacturer states that the inner tube and cover are partially resistant to acids and alkalis.
Where it is used
The manufacturer lists water, process water and wastewater, slurry spreading and injection, slurry pumps, hose pumps, low-pressure systems and extraction.
The formal name is HEDUFLEX/GRECATO.

Overpressure and underpressure values are recommended operating limits; the product can be subjected to higher loads on request. Bend radius is measured along the inside of the hose bend.
Standards and compliance
The manufacturer documents the following:
- EN ISO 1307:2008.
- REACH for the EPDM version (HEDUFLEX/GRECATO/EPDM).
The manufacturer states no electrical resistance for the hose, so it must not be used for combustible dust.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the SBR and EPDM versions?
The SBR version comes from inner Ø 76 to 203 mm, −30 to +85°C and 6 bar. The EPDM version comes from inner Ø 19 to 76 mm, −40 to +125°C and 10 bar, and the manufacturer describes it as abrasion, ozone and weather resistant.
