Flame-retardant
PROTAPE® ALU-PVC 369
Highly flexible air conditioning hose with aluminium-based construction (ALU-PVC). Flame-retardant and up to +140 °C peak. PVC outer layer provides broader chemical resistance than PES. Designed for ventilation, air conditioning and heating systems plus extraction in kitchens and bathrooms.

Why this hose?
The PROTAPE® ALU-PVC 369 range uses aluminium as primary material. This provides naturally high temperature resistance (+140 °C) combined with flame-retardant properties — ideal for heat-ventilation applications.
The ALU-PVC construction combines aluminium with polyester or PVC to achieve both flexibility and low weight. Easy handling makes the hose practical in installations where long lengths must be handled by individual people.
Where it is used
In HVAC installations it sits in air conditioning and ventilation systems.
In restaurant kitchens it's used for cooking station extraction where hot vapours must be handled.
In bathroom ventilation it's standard in construction industry.
In everyday talk we call it an "alu-pvc" — the characteristic silver-aluminium finish is the first thing you recognise.

Help with material selection
Although this hose isn't ATEX-relevant, these two articles provide useful background on electrical resistance and industrial safety — important if you later combine the hose with electrical equipment or work in mixed environments:

Industries that use it
PROTAPE® ALU-PVC 369 is used in HVAC and construction industries:
In air conditioning installations aluminium-based construction is well-known for combining temperature resistance with flexibility.
In kitchen and bathroom extraction the flame retardance is a regulatory requirement.
Custom lengths and assemblies
The hose is delivered on rolls and cut to length with couplings as a finished assembly.
For serial deliveries we can establish consistent assembly.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between ALU-PVC and standard PVC ventilation hose?
ALU-PVC has aluminium-based construction providing naturally higher temperature resistance (+140 °C) than standard PVC (+80 °C). Choose ALU-PVC for hot ventilation; choose PVC for normal-temperature ventilation.
Does it tolerate +140 °C continuously?
+140 °C is upper service limit. For long-term stability continuous service below +120 °C is recommended.
Is it ATEX-approved?
No. Aluminium can be conductive, but the hose isn't formally ATEX-marked.
Does it tolerate humid environments?
Yes. The aluminium construction is corrosion-resistant against most atmospheric influences.
Can I get it with standard ventilation couplings?
Yes. We fit hose bands, clamp ring or bayonet as a finished assembly.
Is it food-grade?
No, this variant is not food-grade. For food-relevant installations choose a food-grade hose.
