Two silos with identical geometry can behave completely differently if the material differs. That is why we always start with the problem, not with the product. What do you see: a bridge across the outlet, a rat hole down through the centre, a residue clinging to the wall, or the opposite, powder flushing out uncontrolled? Only once the cause is known does it make sense to talk about a component and a solution.
We translate requirements and standards into something that can be ordered and mounted. That includes the ATEX Directive, which matters a great deal to us, because many of the materials that misbehave in a silo also form combustible dust. If the component is to sit in zone 20, 21 or 22, it has to be certified for it and the documentation has to come with it.

From dust in the air to material in the silo
Particulair started in dust. We have been in the industry since 1989, and our first critical environments were offshore, where the consequence of a single spark was not a theoretical entry in a risk assessment. Pharma followed in 1991, when a production department in Novo Nordisk's insulin production asked us for help. In 2002 we received our first formal training in the ATEX Directive, and the first flow aids entered the programme that same year. By 2004 the ATEX range covered all four zones.
The road from vacuum extraction to flow aids is shorter than it sounds. The materials are the same, the zones are the same, and often the customers are the same. What differs is the direction: in extraction the material has to leave the air, in flow aids it has to leave the vessel. FLOW-AID is the fifth of our specialist areas, alongside Ex-Vac, Life Science, FlexCore and VACE.
We stay on after the equipment is mounted
A vibrator in the wrong position works against the silo instead of with it. That is why our job does not end at delivery. We help with placement, with the compressed air supply, with the control, and with the spare parts that need to be on the shelf when something has to be replaced.
We take the long view when selecting equipment. We are not interested in selling something that has to be replaced in two years. We are interested in it working and meeting the requirements for many years to come.

Particulair supplies OLI's flow aid range in Denmark, Poland and the rest of the EU. OLI was founded in 1961 and has been headquartered in Modena, northern Italy, since 2003. The company is the world's top-selling manufacturer of electric and pneumatic vibrators.
The range covers pneumatic rotary and linear vibrators, air cannons, pneumatic hammers, fluidisation pads and nozzles, vibrating silo bottoms and equipment for silo trailers. Also in ATEX versions.
