RAKE comb nozzle in antistatic black MM019NN NBR compound for ATEX Zone 21 and Zone 22 – Ø38 to Ø70 mm

Used together with

RAKE comb nozzle in antistatic MM019NN NBR compound for efficient broad-surface extraction of fine dust and granules from surfaces and floors in ATEX-classified Zone 21 and Zone 22. The characteristic comb-shaped opening with teeth distributes the airflow across a wide contact area, ensuring thorough collection of cereals, starches, sugars, light metals, coal and wood dust in explosive industrial environments.

Applications

RAKE ATEX is designed for broad-surface extraction of fine dust and granules from surfaces and floors in explosive environments. The comb-shaped opening provides even coverage when sweeping across a surface, and the teeth prevent the nozzle from adhering to the surface. Typical industries and materials:

  • Food production — cereals, starches, sugars, flour products and granulate
  • Woodworking — sawdust and wood dust from flat surfaces
  • Metal processing — aluminium and magnesium dust on benches and floors
  • Chemical industry — explosive powder and granulate in production areas
  • Coal processing — coal and coke dust from conveyors and floor surfaces
Important notice: This nozzle is not ATEX-certified as a product. The ATEX directive certifies the complete installation — the nozzle’s role is to deliver the documented antistatic properties (MM019NN, 1.1 Ω·m, ISO 1853:2011) that the system manufacturer incorporates into their ATEX certification. It is the installer’s and user’s responsibility to verify suitability for the specific environment and dust class.

Frequently asked questions

RAKE ATEX is manufactured in MM019NN antistatic NBR compound with certified volume resistivity of 1.1 Ω·m (CERISIE, ISO 1853:2011), ensuring documented equipotential bonding. A standard nozzle does not have these documented antistatic properties and is not suitable for ATEX zones.

The characteristic teeth distribute the airflow evenly across the opening width and prevent the nozzle from adhering to the surface. This provides even and effective collection of dust and granules from both hard and flexible surfaces.
The nozzle is available in Ø38, Ø40, Ø44, Ø50 and Ø70 mm. The diameter must match the pipe system on your vacuum unit. Contact us if you are unsure about the correct dimension.
The documented electrical resistance of 5–50 kΩ and volume resistivity of 1.1 Ω·m make the nozzle suitable for use in environments requiring equipotential bonding, including Zone 21 and Zone 22. It is always the user’s responsibility to verify suitability for the specific zone and installation.
Yes — RAKE is also available in transparent silicone compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 for food and pharmaceutical environments, and in colour-coded FDA NBR versions for colour-managed hygiene systems. Contact us to find out more.
