DISCOVERY is a robust floor nozzle for continuous vacuuming of floor surfaces in production environments with high hygiene requirements. At 300 mm wide, it is the compact counterpart to ICEBERG (400 mm) — ideal for workplaces and aisles with space constraints. The body is manufactured in stainless steel, while the silicone lip — the material in direct contact with the floor surface — complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 (Wacker R 4001 80) and BfR Recommendation XV. The steel connector version connects via quick-fit.

Material compliance: The silicone lip is manufactured in Wacker R 4001 80, which complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and BfR Recommendation XV. The stainless steel structural part is material-compatible. It is the user’s responsibility to verify suitability for the specific environment.

Connection: Quick-fit steel connector

The DISCOVERY steel connector version has a fixed coupling that clicks directly into double-bend floor wands with quick-fit coupling. Stainless steel AISI 304 floor wands recommended for Food/Pharma use.

Silicone lip (N) – standard

DISCOVERY is supplied as standard with silicone lip (N) in Wacker R 4001 80. Transparent, odourless and withstands steam cleaning up to +200°C. Polypropylene bristles (S) available as alternative to squeegee lip.

Frequently asked questions

DISCOVERY is 300 mm wide and ICEBERG is 400 mm. Both are stainless steel with silicone lip (Wacker R 4001 80, FDA 21 CFR 177.2600). DISCOVERY is preferable for tighter spaces, under machinery or in narrow aisles.
The silicone lip in Wacker R 4001 80 complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and BfR Recommendation XV. The stainless steel structure is material-compatible. It is the user’s responsibility to verify suitability.
