Why this hose?
METAL HOSE 375 is the lighter variant of the METAL HOSE range — galvanised steel instead of stainless INOX. This gives lower cost and better flexibility at the same ATEX approval, but with lower temperature resistance (+120 °C vs INOX 376's +600 °C).
For most wood and paper industry applications +120 °C is sufficient — wood dust and paper dust temperatures normally lie below this limit. The galvanisation layer protects against rust during humid operating conditions.
Where it is used
In wood industry the hose typically sits on central extraction systems for wood dust and sawdust. ATEX approval is an authority requirement in most countries for wood dust handling.
In paper industry it's used for transport of process dust at moderate temperatures. The lighter construction (vs INOX 376) makes handling during installation and service easier.
In everyday talk we call it a "galvanised steel hose" or "metal 375" — the standardised economical ATEX metal hose.

Fields without a value (—) are not specified in the manufacturer's factsheet. Overpressure and underpressure values are recommended operating limits; the product can be subjected to higher loads on request. Bend radius is measured along the inside of the hose bend.
Standards and compliance
METAL HOSE 375 is certified to:
- ATEX 2014/34/EU (1999/92/EC). Directive for equipment in explosive atmospheres. Covers pneumatic transport of flammable dust in Zone 20, 21, 22 inside.
- TRGS 727. German technical rule for handling of hazardous substances.
- REACH and RoHS. EU directives for chemicals.

Industries that use it
METAL HOSE 375 is used in wood and paper industry plus general ATEX-relevant extraction:
In the wood industry it's standard choice on central extraction systems because wood dust is often classified as St 1 or St 2 on the dust explosion scale — ATEX-approved extraction is an authority requirement.
In the paper industry it's used for paper dust extraction. The galvanisation layer protects against moisture and light corrosive media.
Custom lengths and assemblies
The hose is delivered on 10 m rolls. We cut to length and fit flange couplings or standard fittings.
For central extraction systems we can establish serial deliveries.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between METAL HOSE 375 and METAL HOSE INOX 376?
375 is galvanised steel, +120 °C, lower cost. 376 is stainless steel (INOX), +600 °C, higher corrosion resistance. Choose 375 for standard wood/paper industry applications; choose 376 for high-temperature or corrosive environments.
What's the difference between METAL HOSE 375 and 375 HT?
Standard 375 covers up to +120 °C. 375 HT is a variant with higher temperature resistance. Choose the variant matching your specific operating condition.
Does the hose need to be grounded?
Yes, ALWAYS. It's conductive due to the steel construction, but the ATEX approval requires correct grounding at both ends to function.
Does it tolerate wet media?
The galvanisation layer protects against light moisture and condensate. For continuous service with water or specific corrosive media, choose METAL HOSE INOX 376 (stainless steel) for better corrosion resistance.
Is it flexible?
Not like a flexible polymer hose. The steel spiral construction makes it semi-flexible — it can be bent within the specified bend radius but not twisted or freely compressed.
Can I get it with specific flange couplings?
Yes. We cut to length and fit flanges or bayonet connections as a finished assembly. For wood industry standardised extraction systems we can typically deliver with pre-configured couplings.
