NORPLAST® 385 AS GRANUFLEX®
Abrasion-resistant antistatic suction and pressure hose in polyurethane, designed for granulate transport in ATEX-relevant installations. Resistance <10⁹ Ω per ISO 8031. The PUR lining resists abrasive granulates (plastic pellets, grain, minerals) across thousands of pump cycles. Service from −40 °C to +80 °C. Alternative to the 387 Antiabrasivo range for less heavy granulates where PUR flexibility is prioritised over maximum abrasion resistance.

Why this hose?
NORPLAST® 385 AS GRANUFLEX® is specialised for granulate transport in pneumatic systems where the antistatic property is critical. Dry granulate flow through an insulating hose builds static electricity quickly — at worst enough to ignite fine dust.
The PUR lining is chosen because it balances abrasion resistance with flexibility. It's less heavy than NORPLAST® PUR 387 ANTIABRASIVO but still suitable for granulates of medium hardness (plastic pellets, grain, smaller mineral granulates).
Where it is used
In the plastics industry the hose typically sits on pellet supply systems between silo and injection moulding machine. The antistatic property prevents static accumulation during continuous pellet flow.
In agriculture it's used for grain and feed handling where dust explosion is a constant risk.
In everyday talk we call it a "GRANUFLEX AS" — the antistatic granulate specialist hose.

Industries that use it
NORPLAST® 385 AS GRANUFLEX® is used where antistatic granulate transport is needed:
In the plastics industry it's the first choice on pellet supply systems. PUR's abrasion resistance combined with the antistatic property is a standard combination.
In agricultural grain handling it's usable for medium-sized transport installations.
Custom lengths and assemblies
The hose is delivered on 50 m rolls. We cut to length and fit couplings with correct grounding.
For serial deliveries we can establish consistent assembly.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between 385 AS GRANUFLEX and 387 ANTIABRASIVO?
385 GRANUFLEX is a less heavy version optimised for medium-hard granulates (pellets, grain). 387 ANTIABRASIVO has even better abrasion resistance (abrasion value from 30 mm³) and is designed for the hardest media (gravel, cement, sand).
Does the hose need to be grounded?
Yes. The antistatic property only works with correct grounding.
Does it tolerate hot air?
Up to +80 °C continuous. This covers most pneumatic transport applications for granulates.
Is it ATEX-approved?
It's antistatic-marked but not formally ATEX-marked. For Zone 22 (occasional dust) antistatic is often sufficient.
Can I use it for plastic pellets?
Yes, it's a standard application. The PUR lining tolerates both virgin and recycled pellets without significant wear.
Can I get it with Camlock?
Yes. We fit Camlock, clamp ring or other standard couplings as a finished assembly with correct grounding.
