Flame-retardant
CP PVC 465
Highly flexible clamp profile hose (CP) in PVC, flame-retardant according to NF P 92-503 M2 and fabric-reinforced. Galvanised steel clamp profile gives mechanical strength and exterior smoothness. Service from −10 °C to +80 °C, short-term peak +110 °C. The hose is PVC-based and therefore has good chemical resistance to common industrial media at room temperature. Designed for extraction arms, welding fume and suction trucks.

Why this hose?
CP PVC 465 belongs to the CP series — clamp profile hoses characterised by the visible metal profile around the hose. The profile is made of galvanised steel and serves both as mechanical reinforcement and ingress protection. It gives the hose shape stability without making it unnecessarily stiff.
The material choice — PVC wall + fabric reinforcement + clamp profile — is chosen to get a versatile extraction hose that's both flame-retardant and chemically resistant to common industrial media at room temperature. It doesn't tolerate all aggressive chemicals, but covers broadly for vapour return, fume and lightly aggressive gases.
The hose is especially popular on extraction arms in workshops and industrial facilities, where it must both bend into complex positions and hold shape. The clamp profile means the hose doesn't kink even at tighter bends than ordinary flexible hoses would tolerate.
Where it is used
The hose sits on extraction arms in workshops, laboratories and production facilities, where the user must be able to move the arm and hose in three dimensions. The clamp profile ensures the hose doesn't collapse or kink under bending.
On suction trucks it's a well-known choice as flexible connection between fixed pipework and the mobile extraction point. Here flexibility + flame-retardance is important — especially if the truck is used in environments with discarded materials that can be hot or easily ignitable.
In the chemical industry the hose is used for vapour return — the short connection from a tank vent to a buffer that captures evaporated media. The hose's chemical resistance broadly covers most organic vapours and lightly aggressive gases.
In everyday talk we call it a "clamp profile hose" or "extraction arm hose" — the characteristic metal spiral is the first thing you recognise.

Fields without a value (—) are not specified in the manufacturer's factsheet. Overpressure and underpressure values are recommended operating limits; the product can be subjected to higher loads on request. Bend radius is measured along the inside of the hose bend.
Standards and compliance
CP PVC 465 conforms to the following standards and directives:
- NF P 92-503 M2. French standard for flame-retardant construction materials; M2 corresponds to "hard to ignite".
- REACH (EC 1907/2006). The manufacturer's REACH declaration is available for download.
- RoHS. Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

Industries that use it
CP PVC 465 has a place in industries where a flame-retardant clamp profile hose is the right choice:
In the extraction and filtration industry the CP series is a standard choice for extraction arms. Here it's especially the clamp profile's ability to hold the hose open at bends that makes it irreplaceable — ordinary PVC hoses would compress at the same bend angle.
In the welding industry the hose serves as a connection between hood or extraction arm and the central extraction system. The flame-retardance isn't just a nice-to-have here — it's often a fire authority requirement in workshops.
In the chemical industry the hose is used for vapour return on storage tanks and process tanks, where evaporated media must be captured and either condensed or filtered. The broad chemical resistance covers most organic vapours.
Custom lengths and assemblies
The hose is delivered on rolls in 3 m, 6 m, 15 m or 20 m lengths. We cut to length and fit couplings, sleeves or bayonet solutions as a finished assembly.
For larger deliveries we can set up serial production runs for consistent assemblies across the delivery. Ask us if you have a specific installation.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between CP PVC 465 and CP PVC 466 HT?
CP PVC 465 is the standard variant with temperature range −10 to +80 °C (peak +110 °C). CP PVC 466 HT is a high-temperature variant that tolerates higher continuous service. Choose CP PVC 466 HT if your medium is continuously above +80 °C, otherwise CP PVC 465 is the right choice.
What is a clamp profile?
Clamp profile is the visible metal profile that runs around the hose in a spiral shape. It serves both as mechanical reinforcement (the hose holds shape during bending) and as external protection against impact and wear. It's typically made of galvanised steel, but can also be stainless steel in special variants (CP PTFE-INOX series).
Is CP PVC 465 ATEX-approved?
No. The PVC wall has no conductive or antistatic properties, and the clamp profile alone doesn't make the hose ATEX-approved. For ATEX zones with static-electrical risks, choose a conductive or antistatic variant — for example CP PE 457 EC (conductive).
What chemicals does it tolerate?
The PVC wall is compatible with most organic acids at diluted concentrations, common solvents at room temperature, and most industrial gases and vapours. It's NOT compatible with concentrated strong acids, chlorinated solvents or aromatic hydrocarbons. We have a chemical resistance table — contact us if you're unsure about your specific medium.
Can I get it with specific couplings?
Yes. The hose is delivered as a finished assembly with permanently fitted couplings — hose bands, clamping bands, bayonet, threaded or flange, according to your needs. Tell us which system you're working with, and we'll suggest the best matching coupling.
What's the difference between a clamp profile hose and an ordinary spiral hose?
An ordinary spiral hose has the spiral embedded inside the wall — it functions primarily as reinforcement. A clamp profile hose has the profile mounted around the hose, where it both reinforces and protects the hose externally. The clamp profile gives better ingress protection against impact and wear, but it's typically a bit harder to fit couplings to.
Does it tolerate vapour return from solvents?
The PVC wall is compatible with most organic vapours at room temperature. For specific solvents (e.g. acetone, ethyl acetate or MEK) you should cross-check in the resistance table — especially if the vapour concentration is high or temperature is above room temperature. For continuously aggressive media choose a CP PTFE or CP HYP hose.
