Specifically regarding product selection in critical environments
Incorrect decisions about product selection in critical environments can have serious consequences. In ATEX zones, insufficient electrical bonding can prevent reliable earthing and increase the risk of igniting combustible dusts or gases. In food and pharma processes, incorrect material choice can lead to migration, taste or odour transfer, or compromised hygienic performance. In chemical processes, insufficient material compatibility can degrade the equipment and trigger leaks. The choice of product, dimensioning, earthing and documentation is a responsibility that rests with the owner of the facility and the designated technical officer.
