CARBOFLAT®
Flat collapsible discharge hose, UV- and weather-resistant. Designed for ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore fuel transfers. NBR inner tube tolerates up to 50% aromatic content. CR (chloroprene rubber) outer cover resists sun, ozone and seawater. Service from −35 °C to +80 °C. The flat construction makes the hose easy to fold and store when not in use.

Why this hose?
CARBOFLAT® is specialised for marine bunkering where space is critical. The flat construction means the hose can be folded like a tape when not pressurised, saving space on deck.
The CR (chloroprene rubber) outer cover is chosen for its excellent UV, ozone and seawater resistance — critical for hoses used outdoors in marine environments over years. The antistatic property prevents static accumulation during fuel flow.
Where it is used
In marine bunkering the hose typically sits on deck or in storage boxes when not in use — the flat construction makes it practical to store long lengths compactly.
On offshore platforms it's used for oil rig supply — fuel and oil transfers between supply ship and platform.
In everyday talk we call it a "flat bunkering hose" — the characteristic flat form is the first thing you recognise.

Fields without a value (—) are not specified in the manufacturer's factsheet. Overpressure and underpressure values are recommended operating limits; the product can be subjected to higher loads on request. Bend radius is measured along the inside of the hose bend.

Industries that use it
CARBOFLAT® is specialised for marine and offshore fuel transfers:
In marine it sits in storage boxes on deck and is rolled out during bunkering. The flat form saves space and can be handled by fewer people than rigid round hoses.
In oil rig supply between supply ship and platform, the combination of UV resistance, antistatic and flexibility is decisive.
Custom lengths and assemblies
The hose is delivered on 50 m rolls. We cut to length and fit Camlock or flanges with correct grounding.
For marine installations we can deliver fully certified assemblies.

Frequently asked questions
What does "collapsible" mean?
The hose is flat and can be folded like a tape when not pressurised. This saves space during storage and transport. When the hose is filled with fuel pressure it assumes its round shape and functions as an ordinary suction and pressure hose.
Does it tolerate seawater?
Yes. The CR outer cover (chloroprene rubber) is chosen specifically for marine environments — resists both seawater, UV radiation and ozone over long operating periods.
Is it ATEX-approved?
It's antistatic-marked (Ω/T) but not formally ATEX-marked like the EN 12115 CARBOFLEX/EN hose. For formal ATEX compliance choose CARBOFLEX/EN.
Does the hose need to be grounded?
Yes. Fuel flow builds static quickly — grounding is critical.
What's the difference between CARBOFLAT and CARBOFLEX?
CARBOFLEX is a standard round suction-pressure hose. CARBOFLAT is flat and collapsible. Both are used for fuel, but CARBOFLAT is optimised for storage/space in marine environments.
Can I get it with Camlock?
Yes. Camlock is standard in marine and oil distribution. We fit them as a finished assembly.
