Why this hose?
CARBOFORM®/EN/ISO is specifically designed for fuel installations on leisure boats and yachts. ISO 7840 is the international standard for onboard fuel hoses — and only hoses with this certification may be used in commercial marine fuel installations.
The self-extinguishing property is critical in marine environments — a fire onboard can be catastrophic and every material component must actively counteract fire spread.

On leisure boats and yachts it sits throughout the fuel system — from tank to engine.
In yacht industry new builds it's the standard choice for fire-safe installations.
In everyday talk we call it a "marine fuel hose" or "ISO 7840" — it's the standardised yacht hose.

What is ISO 7840?

What does self-extinguishing mean?
The material stops burning within a defined time interval when the ignition source is removed. In marine context it's a critical safety property.
Does it tolerate both diesel and petrol?
Yes. The NBR inner tube tolerates both diesel and unleaded petrol (up to 50% aromatic).
Does it need grounding?
Yes. The antistatic property only works with correct grounding.
Is it ATEX-approved?
Antistatic-marked but not formally ATEX. ISO 7840 is the marine-relevant certification.
