NORPLAST® PUR 386 SCIROPPO® PU FOOD AS
Food-grade suction and pressure hose in polyurethane, antistatic and certified for food contact. Combines PUR's abrasion resistance with the antistatic property (<10⁹ Ω per ISO 8031) and food-grade approval. Designed for transport of both liquid foods (syrup, juice, ingredients) and abrasive food granulates (grain pellets, flour granulates, sugar). The combination of all three properties is rare and specific.

Why this hose?
NORPLAST® PUR 386 SCIROPPO® PU FOOD AS is a "three-in-one" hose: food-grade + antistatic + abrasion-resistant. That combination is rare — most food-grade hoses are insulating, and most antistatic ones aren't food-grade. The hose solves specific food production challenges where all three properties are requirements.
The PUR lining resists both liquid syrups and abrasive granulates better than PVC. The antistatic property is critical in pneumatic transport of dry foods where dust explosion is a risk (flour, sugar, grain dust).
Where it is used
In syrup and concentrate production the hose sits on dosing and transfer lines where the medium is both liquid and where pump pressure can be high.
In mill industry and feed production it's used for transport of flour, grain and pellets where the PUR lining resists wear and the antistatic property prevents dust explosion.
In everyday talk we call it a "food PU AS" — the specialised three-in-one solution.

Fields without a value (—) are not specified in the manufacturer's factsheet. Overpressure and underpressure values are recommended operating limits; the product can be subjected to higher loads on request. Bend radius is measured along the inside of the hose bend.

In syrup and beverage production it's standard on pump-based installations where the medium is food-grade and static handling is necessary.
In mill industry and feed it's used for pneumatic transport of flour and grain pellets — critical because dust explosion is a constant risk.

The hose is delivered on 50 m rolls. We cut to length and fit hygiene couplings with correct grounding.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between SCIROPPO PU FOOD AS and standard SCIROPPO/AS?
Standard SCIROPPO/AS (NORPLAST® PVC 384) is PVC-based. PU FOOD AS (NORPLAST® PUR 386) is PUR-based with higher abrasion resistance. Choose PU FOOD AS when you have abrasive granulates (flour, sugar); choose PVC SCIROPPO/AS when the medium is primarily liquid.
Does the hose need to be grounded?
Yes. The antistatic property only works with correct grounding at both ends.
Does it tolerate CIP cleaning?
Up to +80 °C continuous. This covers normal CIP. For SIP at higher temperatures choose a silicone hose.
Is it ATEX-approved?
It's antistatic-marked but not formally ATEX-marked. For Zone 22 (occasional dust) the antistatic property is often sufficient after risk assessment.
Can I use it for flour and sugar?
Yes, it's a standard application. The PUR lining resists wear from fine powders, and food-grade compliance covers food contact.
Can I get it with hygiene couplings?
Yes. We fit SMS, DIN 11851 or Tri-Clamp as a finished assembly with correct grounding.
