Why this hose?
PROTAPE® PUR 327 PP is a "four-in-one" hose: food-grade + antistatic + crush-resistant + medical equipment-approved. The unique combination makes the hose usable in specific niche areas where all four properties are requirements.
The CT and MRI scanner application is special — here the antistatic property is critical due to the high magnetic fields. The hose is used for air handling around the scanner.
Where it is used
On medical scanners it's used for air supply and extraction around CT/MRI equipment.
In municipal vehicles it sits where antistatic combines with sanitary approval.
In everyday talk we call it a "PUR PP" — the four-in-one specialty hose.

Help with material selection
If you're choosing a hose and are unsure about the right resistance level or zone classification, these two articles are a good place to start:
The invisible weakest link
Why a conductive or antistatic hose isn't sufficient on its own — and what grounding means for the complete system.
Know your ohm
The difference between antistatic and conductive, which resistance limits apply where, and how to measure them correctly.
Industries that use it
PROTAPE® PUR 327 PP is used where food + antistatic + crush-resistant combine:
In medical technology (CT/MRI) it's specifically chosen because antistatic is critical around magnetic fields.
In municipal sanitary vehicles it combines food-grade compliance with antistatic handling.
Custom lengths and assemblies
The hose is delivered on rolls and cut to length with couplings as a finished assembly.
For serial deliveries we can establish consistent assembly.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between PP and MEMORY?
MEMORY is food-grade and crush-resistant (without antistatic). PP is food-grade + antistatic + crush-resistant + medical-approved. Choose PP when antistatic or medical equipment is involved.
Why antistatic in CT/MRI?
CT and MRI scanners work with high magnetic fields that can induce static charges in nearby hoses. The antistatic property dissipates these safely.
Does the hose need grounding?
Yes. Antistatic only works with correct grounding.
Does it tolerate drinking water?
EU 10/2011 covers food compatibility. For formal drinking water approval cross-check local standards.
Is it MR-safe?
The hose is antistatic-marked and used on CT/MRI air systems. For specific MR Conditional or MR Safe classifications you should cross-check with the manufacturer of the specific scanner equipment.
Can I get it with medical couplings?
Yes. We fit DIN medical or standard food-grade couplings as a finished assembly.
