About Tiger-Vac CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MFS) ULPA WITH SS CART
The CD/EUR-36L EX DT (MFS) ULPA is designed for pharmaceutical processes where explosion protection and ULPA filtration must be combined with robust manual filter shaking. The unit is ATEX II 1/2 GD certified for both Zone 0/20 (high-risk zone internally) and Zone 1/21 (normal process zone externally), making it well suited for tablet manufacturing, powder filling and cleaning operations in highly controlled environments.
Filtration is based on a conductive star-shaped cartridge with cage – not a traditional cartridge. Manual filter shaking (MFS) means the operator briefly closes the inlet and allows airflow to reverse across the filter, causing collected dust to fall back into the tank. This method is particularly well suited for intermittent use and inventory vacuuming where compressed air is not always available on site.
The ULPA U15 filtration (99.9995% at 0.18 micron MPPS) is the highest filter class for dry exhaust and delivers the extreme high-potency safety margin that modern pharmaceutical manufacturing demands. The entire machine – tank, motor mount, stainless steel cart with ESD wheels – is fully antistatic with resistivity below 10 ohm, eliminating the risk of static ignition in explosive atmospheres.
With a 2.2 kW (400 V three-phase) or 1.5 kW (230 V single-phase) TEFC motor, the unit delivers 212 m³/h airflow with a maximum vacuum of 2,540 mmH₂O. The detachable 36 L tank (DT) allows easy changeover between products without cross-contamination. Noise level is 72 dB(A) with the integrated stainless steel muffler, making it suitable for daily operation in pharmaceutical production.

Frequently Asked Questions
ATEX II 1/2 GD means the machine meets both gas and dust requirements for explosion protection. Internally, it can operate in Zone 0 (gas) and Zone 20 (dust) – the highest classification. Externally, it is rated for Zone 1–2 (gas) and Zone 21–22 (dust). The “GD” indicates both Gas and Dust protection.
MFS (Manual Filter Shaking) uses manual agitation – the operator briefly closes the inlet and allows airflow to reverse. MRP (Manual Reverse Pressure) uses compressed air to reverse-purge a cartridge. MFS is suited to situations where compressed air is not available, or for intermittent use. The star-shaped cage cartridge with MFS has a slower cleaning cycle but requires less supporting infrastructure.
The 400 V three-phase variant (2.2 kW) is designed for industrial installations with three-phase supply. The 230 V single-phase variant (1.5 kW) is suited to facilities where only single-phase power is available. Both share the same ATEX certification and filter system. The 400 V version offers slightly higher power output.
ULPA U15 achieves 99.9995% efficiency at 0.18 micron (MPPS), tested per EN 1822 / IEST-RP-CC001. HEPA H14 achieves 99.995% at 0.3 micron. ULPA therefore provides a tenfold improvement in particle penetration, which is critical for high-potency API handling and pharmaceutical cleanrooms.
Yes. With ULPA U15 filtration, the exhaust meets ISO 4 cleanroom requirements per ISO 14644-1. The fully antistatic construction and ESD-conductive wheels ensure no particle generation from the machine itself. The stainless steel cart is designed for cleanroom-grade cleaning.
The integrated stainless steel muffler reduces the noise level to 72 dB(A), making the vacuum acceptable for daily use in pharmaceutical production areas. Without the muffler, noise levels would be considerably higher. The stainless steel construction ensures compatibility with cleanroom hygiene requirements.
