About EXP1-40L (4W) RE HEPA (FR-P)
The EXP1-40L (4W) RE HEPA (FR-P) is a robust ATEX II 2GD-certified dry vacuum specifically designed to handle hazardous powders such as unburnt gunpowder, lead, and pyrotechnic materials. FR-P stands for Flame Retardant Powder, meaning this unit is optimized for these demanding applications in pharmaceutical and pyrotechnic industries.
With a large 38-liter tank, this model can collect substantial quantities of material before emptying is required. The vacuum is supplied as standard in a dry-only model (111334B), but a wet+dry variant (111335B, FR-P W&D) is also available as an option for applications where both collection types are necessary.
The machine is ATEX II 2GD-certified under LCIE 03 ATEX 6297 and can be used in Zone 1 (gas, IIA group) and Zone 21 (dust) externally. Internally, it meets EN 17348 DT/LC certification for combustible dust and flammable liquids.
The filter configuration consists of a static dissipative main cloth filter and a HEPA H14 filter (99.995% efficiency at 0.3 µm), both included as standard. A conductive polyliner recovery bag for safe and easy emptying is also included.
With its 1 kW TEFC motor (230 V, single phase), the vacuum delivers 224 m³/h airflow and up to 1,550 mmH₂O suction. Mounted on 4 ESD-safe wheels and equipped with a 15-meter cord, it is easy to maneuver in production environments.

Questions and Answers
FR-P stands for Flame Retardant Powder. This model is specifically designed for collecting hazardous powders, typically unburnt gunpowder, lead, and pyrotechnic materials. The flame-retardant properties ensure safe handling of these explosive dust types in ATEX areas.
FR-P is the dry-only model (111334B) for exclusive dry collection. FR-P W&D is the wet+dry variant (111335B) that handles both liquids and dry dust in the same machine. Choose FR-P W&D if your processes involve both collection types.
The EXP1-40L features a large 38-liter tank, which is significantly larger than smaller models. This means fewer emptying cycles, reduced downtime, and better productivity in operations with frequent dust collection.
With ATEX II 2GD certification, the EXP1-40L (4W) RE HEPA (FR-P) is externally certified for Zone 1 and Zone 2 (gas, IIA group) and Zone 21 and Zone 22 (dust). Internally, it meets EN 17348 DT/LC, which covers Zone 20 for combustible dust and flammable liquids.
Yes, the HEPA H14 filter (99.995% efficiency at 0.3 µm) is included as standard with all EXP1-40L models. A conductive polyliner bag for safe emptying is also included.
EN 17348 is the harmonized standard for vacuums for use in explosive atmospheres. DT stands for Combustible Dust and LC for Flammable Liquids. For the EXP1-40L, it means the machine is certified for safe collection of both solid and liquid hazardous materials.
