About EXP1-5 (4W) RE HEPA
EXP1-5 (4W) RE HEPA is the smallest ATEX II 2GD certified canister vacuum on the market. Designed for flexibility and ease of handling, this model is the perfect solution for users who need to move the vacuum between work sites or work in smaller spaces.
With ATEX II 2GD certification under LCIE 03 ATEX 6297, the vacuum can be used in both gas and dust zones. Externally, it is approved for Zone 1 (gas, group IIA) and Zone 21 (dust), and thus also covers Zone 2 and Zone 22. Internally, it meets EN 17348 DT/LC — suitable for combustible dust and flammable liquids.
Dry dust is collected in a 12.9-liter container. Filtration occurs in three stages: a static dissipative pre-filter captures large particles, a static dissipative cloth filter buffers, and the HEPA H14 filter (99.995% at 0.3 µm) ensures maximum air quality. All filters are included as standard.
With a 1 kW TEFC motor (230 V, single phase), the vacuum delivers 224 m³/h airflow and up to 1.550 mmH₂O maximum vacuum. Mounted on 4 ESD-safe wheels, it is easy to move, weighs only 27 kg, and can be easily maneuvered to the spot that needs cleaning. The 15-meter power cord provides good reach.

Questions and Answers
The EXP1-5 is designed for dry collection only — it does not handle liquids as some other models do. This dramatically reduces the overall size and weight. At just 27 kg and compact dimensions of 53 × 61 × 75 cm, it is easy to move between work sites and requires less floor space than larger canister models.
With ATEX II 2GD certification, the machine is externally approved for Zone 1 and Zone 2 (gas, group IIA) as well as Zone 21 and Zone 22 (dust). Internally, it meets EN 17348 DT/LC, which covers Zone 20 for combustible dust.
No. The EXP1-5 (4W) RE HEPA is a dry vacuum designed for dry collection only. It has a capacity of 12.9 liters and does not include the liquid filter that some other models feature. For wet and dry collection, you should consider models such as the EXP1-10.
Gas group IIA covers gases at the propane level — that is, gases with lower explosion energy. IIB covers more energetic gases such as ethylene. The EXP1-5 RE HEPA is certified for IIA, which is sufficient for most pharmaceutical and industrial applications.
Filtration occurs in three stages: First, a static dissipative pre-filter captures large particles. Then a static dissipative cloth filter. Third and final stage is the HEPA H14 filter with 99.995% efficiency at 0.3 µm. All three filters are included as standard.
EN 17348 is the harmonized standard for vacuum cleaners for use in explosive atmospheres. DT stands for Combustible Dust and LC for Flammable Liquids. For the EXP1-5, DT/LC means the machine has been tested and approved for safe suction of combustible dust in Zone 20 environments.
