Two models for flexible capacity
The Delfin PHARMA 40.30/40.40 Z22 series consists of larger, stationary dust extraction units certified to ATEX II 3D Ex III B T135°C X Dc for Zone 22. The series offers two motor sizes with identical stainless steel construction and certification: PHARMA 40.30 (3 kW, 318 m³/h) and PHARMA 40.40 (4 kW, 420 m³/h). Choose PHARMA 40.30 for small to medium production lines and PHARMA 40.40 for higher airflow and dust load demands.
Both models feature identical 42 L collection tank in AISI304 stainless steel, H14 HEPA absolute filter as standard, and maintenance-free side channel blower motor. T135°C X certification provides flexibility for temperature-sensitive work, while Zone 22 approval ensures safe operation in rarely occurring explosive dust atmospheres.

Filter Equipment and Cleaning
All PHARMA 40.30/40.40 Z22 units ship with H14 HEPA absolute filter as standard. The filter delivers 99.995% particle retention at MPPS and is certified per EN 1822:5. Star-filter construction with integrated manual cleaning allows continuous operation without motor power loss. The antistatic polyester filter media guards against static buildup in explosive atmospheres. Filter surface loading varies between model versions to optimize filter lifespan.
Options and Custom Configurations
- FDA-certified antistatic filter - for food industry and highest pharmaceutical safety
- Stainless steel AISI304 filter chamber and frame - enhanced chemical resistance
- Polished inner filter chamber - easier cleaning and maintenance
- Earth grounding kit - additional electrostatic discharge protection
- Safe Bag system (BiBo) - sealed bag containment during filter replacement
- Stainless steel coupling clamps - for 67 mm or 70 mm suction inlet
Frequently Asked Questions
Both models have identical stainless steel construction, 42 L tank, and H14 filter. The difference is motor performance: PHARMA 40.30 delivers 3 kW and 318 m³/h, while PHARMA 40.40 delivers 4 kW and 420 m³/h. Choose 40.30 for smaller production needs and 40.40 for higher capacity.
PHARMA 40.30 and PHARMA 40.40 Z22 share identical steel construction, same certification, and same tank. They differ only in motor output. We present them together because they have the same process design, cleaning system, and ATEX approval.
Yes. The side channel blower has no carbon brushes, electrical friction, or wearing parts. The unit can run continuously without scheduled maintenance stops. Perfect for pharmaceutical production where uptime is critical.
T135°C means the unit is certified to operate in environments with ambient temperatures up to 135°C. The "X" marking indicates that electrical and mechanical connections must comply with ATEX restrictions. This provides flexibility for higher-temperature pharmaceutical processes.
Yes. PHARMA 40.30/40.40 Z22 can be upgraded to OEB 4-5 through combinations of H14 protection, FDA-certified antistatic filter, stainless steel filter chamber, and optional Safe Bag containment (BiBo). Contact us for specific OEB configurations based on your dust type.
42 L is the tank maximum capacity. Emptying intervals depend on dust loading in your process - typically from hours to several days. Contact us for sizing recommendations based on your dust type and production volume.
