A containment system without equal in pharma

The CWR-10 EX (CV) is Tiger-Vac’s answer to one of pharmaceutical manufacturing’s most fundamental challenges: how do you collect extremely potent compounds without ever coming into direct contact with the collected material? The solution is a closed containment system in which the collection canister itself — a single-use vessel in stainless steel AISI 430 — is disposed of whole when full. No bag change. No filter exchange. The canister is not emptied. It is discarded in its entirety.

This means the operator never touches the collected material at any point in the process — not during operation, not during canister replacement, and not during disposal. This is not merely a procedural advantage. It is a fundamental design decision that makes the CWR-10 EX (CV) one of the most effective containment tools in the pharmaceutical sector for OEB 4–5 compounds.

From collection to disposal without contact

The airstream enters the sealed single-use canister, where the material is collected. The air then passes through a dual pre-filter stage and on to two separate ULPA U15 filters — one for the working air and one for the cooling air.

The critical point is that the material never leaves the canister. When the canister is full, it is sealed and disposed of whole.

Frequently asked questions

A conventional vacuum — even one fitted with a HEPA H14 filter — requires the operator to open the machine and empty or replace the bag. That is precisely the moment of highest exposure risk. The CWR-10 EX (CV) eliminates this step entirely: the canister is disposed of whole, and the operator never comes into contact with the collected material.
The bypass motor design separates the airstream into two distinct circuits: one carrying the collected material (working air) and one cooling the motor (cooling air). Both streams can potentially carry traces of the collected substance. For this reason, both are filtered through ULPA U15 — nothing is left to chance.
ATEX II 3D (Category 3D) covers use in Zone 22 areas, i.e. areas where combustible dust may be present occasionally under normal operating conditions. The marking Ex h tc IIIB T200°C Dc IP6X specifies that the machine is dust-tight (IP6X) and that the surface temperature does not exceed 200°C. Certification was carried out by Tiger-Vac as first-party certification under EN 17348:2022, harmonised with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.
Yes. The design is compatible with ISO Class 4 (ISO 14644-1), provided the machine is cleaned in accordance with the facility’s SOP for cleaning equipment and that the single-use canister is replaced within its capacity limits so that the filtration system remains functional.
It depends on the density of the production material and the expected spillage per work session. The 12 L is suitable for short collection tasks or high-density preparations. The 20 L is the most widely used for daily operations in pilot-scale production. The 40 L is relevant when larger volumes of fine powder need to be collected over an extended session without changing the canister. We are happy to help assess which model fits your process.
In pharmaceutical production and cleanrooms, the floor is potentially the most contaminated surface in the room. A suction hose that has been in contact with the floor can reintroduce particles and microbiological material to the product or the environment. The optional hose stand (art. #216932A) eliminates this problem by making correct storage the standard rather than the exception.
Modern pharmaceutical production environments contain a growing number of electronic measurement systems, inline sensors and precision instruments that are sensitive to electromagnetic interference.
