What is the Depureco DF 40?

The Depureco DF 40 is the most powerful mobile dust collector in the DF range, designed for demanding point extraction and machine exhaust applications with very high airflow. Its 4 kW centrifugal fan delivers up to 2,700 m³/h with the largest Ø200 mm inlet, and the machine is taller (2,150 mm) and has a larger footprint (630 × 1,100 mm) than the DF 075 and DF 22 to accommodate the larger filter chamber.

The primary filter is a class M polyester star filter with 45,000 cm² surface. Options include an SP system with 4× antistatic cartridges (120,000 cm² in total) with automatic reverse-jet cleaning, and a HEPA H13 absolute filter with 160,000 cm² fibreglass surface. The DF 40 is the only model in the range that offers an SPK spark trap as an option — useful in applications where sparks may form in the inlet material.

The most powerful mobile DF model: The DF 40 is almost twice as powerful as the DF 22 (4 kW vs. 2.2 kW), uses larger inlet diameters (Ø150–200 mm vs. Ø100–150 mm) and has nearly twice the primary filter area (45,000 cm² vs. 24,000 cm²). Choose the DF 40 when the task demands maximum air volume and high filter capacity.

Questions & answers

The DF 40 is the most powerful mobile dust collector in the DF range. It uses a 4 kW centrifugal fan versus the DF 22’s 2.2 kW, delivers up to 2,700 m³/h versus 1,400 m³/h, and uses larger inlet diameters (Ø150/180/200 mm versus Ø100/120/150 mm). The primary filter is larger at 45,000 cm² versus 24,000 cm². The DF 40 also has a larger footprint (630 × 1,100 mm) and stands taller (2,150 mm vs. 1,630 mm). Choose the DF 40 when the task demands very high airflow or a large filter area.
The DF 40 is supplied with Ø150, Ø180 or Ø200 mm suction inlets. Vacuum drops as the diameter increases (370 / 340 / 270 mmH₂O) while airflow rises correspondingly (1,500 / 2,100 / 2,700 m³/h). Pick the diameter based on whether your task needs higher vacuum or higher air volume.
SPK (Spark Trap) is a spark arrestor fitted at the inlet that stops potential sparks before they reach the filter. It is relevant in applications where sparks may form in the inlet material — for example metal grinding, woodworking or processes with hot dust. SPK extends filter life and reduces the risk of filter fire.
Yes. An optional H13 absolute filter with 160,000 cm² fibreglass surface is available as a secondary stage after the primary star filter. The filter is 33% larger than the one on the DF 22 to match the DF 40’s higher airflow.
On the DF 40 the SP system replaces the manual star filter with 4 antistatic polyester cartridges (12 m² / 120,000 cm² in total) that are cleaned automatically with compressed air in reverse-jet mode. That is one cartridge more than the DF 22’s 3-cartridge system. Cleaning takes place without stopping the machine, which is a real advantage during continuous operation or at high dust loads.
The DF 40 is supplied with flanged connections for flexible hoses in Ø150, 180 and 200 mm, two-way flange couplings, a flanged coupling for an articulated extraction arm Ø150 mm, a Ø150 mm articulated arm with 3 m reach, metal hose clamps for all three diameters and spare filters. See the full list above.
