What is the Delfin MTL 45 BT?

The Delfin MTL 45 BT is a large, battery-powered vacuum for wet, dry and solid materials — completely cable-free. The motor is a 24V DC unit powered by two 12V 100A batteries supplied in series. Working flexibility means you can operate anywhere without being tied to power cords or extension leads. The 45-litre collection tank enables handling of larger job volumes, and manual filter cleaning means minimal maintenance dependency.

The star filter in Polyester ANT M media resists moisture and chemical attack, making the MTL 45 BT suitable for both dry dust collection (metal, wood and cement dust) and wet or semi-wet recovery (waste water, wet sawdust, damp matter). High suction capacity at 1,200 mmH₂O ensures powerful suction even with tight filter loads.

Battery runtime — important information: Runtime depends on load level. Under normal operation at approximately 50% maximum suction, you can expect 2–4 hours of continuous operation. At full load, runtime reduces to 1–2 hours. Spare battery sets are recommended for extended continuous work shifts.

How long does the battery last on a single charge?

Battery runtime depends on airflow and suction level during operation. The MTL 45 BT comes with two 12V 100A batteries in series (24V total). Under normal operation at approximately 50% load, you can expect 2–4 hours of continuous runtime. Under high load (maximum suction), runtime reduces to 1–2 hours. For longer operations, spare battery sets are recommended.

What types of materials can the MTL 45 BT handle?

The MTL 45 BT is engineered for wet, dry and solid materials. This means the machine can collect: dry dusts (metal dust, wood dust, cement), wet materials (wet sawdust, semi-wet matter), and larger particles/waste pieces (trimmings, scrap). The star filter with Polyester ANT M media resists moisture and chemical attack.

Is the battery charger included?

The standard kit MTL45 C/BT 2X12V 100A 2MOTOR KIT040 includes two 12V 100A batteries and connection cables, but does NOT include a dedicated charger. A 24V 15A battery charger (KT.2790.0000) is supplied separately. It is recommended that you purchase the charger at the same time to enable charging between shifts.

Is the machine still mobile at 118 kg?

The MTL 45 BT weighs 118 kg without batteries installed. This is a substantial weight, but the machine is mounted on a 4-wheel stand with swivel castors, making it fully mobile within the working area. For transport across larger distances or up stairs, 2–3 people or a small lifting device is recommended. The removable batteries can be mounted/removed to reduce total weight for manual handling.

What maintenance does the battery motor require?

The DC battery motor requires minimal maintenance compared to traditional AC motors. There are no brushes or carbon to replace. Primary maintenance includes: checking battery terminals (clean and secure connections), regular battery charging after use, and monitoring the dust filter (manual cleaning or replacement as needed). The motor itself has no scheduled service intervals.

Can the MTL 45 BT be used in ATEX zones?
