SIMPLICITY is a lightweight and effective floor nozzle designed for ATEX-classified production environments where there is an explosion risk from dust and powder. The structural part is made from stainless steel and steel, while the two antistatic rubber contact parts (version A) ensure that the nozzle can be incorporated into systems requiring equipotential bonding. The wide, flat opening — 300 or 400 mm — covers large floor areas efficiently and is suitable for sweep cleaning of smooth and soft surfaces.

Applications

SIMPLICITY ATEX is designed for floor vacuuming in explosion-classified areas where flammable materials are handled in powder or dust form. The nozzle is suitable for lighter cleaning tasks on smooth, hard floor surfaces. Typical industries and materials:

Food production — flour, starch, sugar, grain
Chemical industry — explosive granulate and fine powder
Woodworking — sawdust and fine wood dust
Metal processing — aluminium and magnesium powder
Coal processing — coal and coke dust

The product is suitable as a lightweight and manoeuvrable floor nozzle for sweep cleaning, where a more robust construction such as PROMETHEUS or ICEBERG is not required.

Important: SIMPLICITY ATEX is not ATEX-certified as a product. The antistatic rubber version (A) has ESD properties in the contact parts, and the combination of stainless steel, steel and antistatic rubber enables equipotential bonding in the system. It is the installer's and user's responsibility to verify suitability for the specific ATEX-classified environment, zone and dust class.

SIMPLICITY is equipped with a quick-fit steel connector — a fixed coupling that clicks directly into double-bend floor wands med integreret kobling. The connection is fast, secure and free of loose parts.

The fixed coupling stud is mounted directly on the nozzle body. The wand is pressed in and locked with a single click. No separate adapters required. Compatible with all double bend floor wands with quick-fit coupling in aluminium, chrome and stainless steel AISI 304.

Adapter CCR38S Ø38 mm systems

SIMPLICITY can also be connected to Ø38 mm pipe systems using the separate wand adapter CCR38S. This provides flexibility for systems using narrower pipes than the standard Ø40–Ø50 mm diameter.

Variant: Bristle strip

Dry dust and powder

The bristle variant has PP bristle strips (polypropylene) along the full width of the nozzle. The bristles loosen stuck dust and light dirt from the floor surface and draw it into the airflow. Suitable for dry granulate, powder and dust on hard, smooth surfaces.

Liquids and semi-fluid materials

The squeegee variant replaces the bristle strips with an ESD rubber lip (L) along the full width of the nozzle. The rubber lip seals against the floor surface and enables effective collection of liquids, semi-fluid materials and wet-lying granulate. The antistatic rubber version (A) ensures equipotential bonding in the system.

Structure

Stainless steel (S. steel) + steel and aluminium

The body is made from a combination of stainless steel, steel and aluminium. This provides high mechanical strength and resistance to impact and wear in industrial floor cleaning environments. Colour: black and zinc-steel (grey painted steel cap).

Contact material (ATEX version)

Antistatic rubber (ESD, version A)

The bristle strips (N) are made from PP + brass (PPLBR) with antistatic properties. The squeegee lip (L, A version) is in ESD black rubber. Both versions enable equipotential bonding and are suitable for use in ATEX Zone 21 and Zone 22. Temperature range: −20°C to +120°C.

Is SIMPLICITY ATEX a suitable floor nozzle for Zone 21?

SIMPLICITY ATEX is manufactured with antistatic rubber (version A) in the contact parts, which enables equipotential bonding in a complete ATEX-approved system. However, the product is not itself ATEX-certified — it is the user's and installer's responsibility to verify suitability for the specific zone and dust class.

What is the difference between the bristle variant and the squeegee variant?

The bristle variant (N) has PP+brass bristle strips that loosen and collect dry dust and powder. The squeegee variant (L) has a rubber lip that seals against the floor surface and is used for collecting liquids, semi-fluid materials and wet-lying granulate. Both variants are available with antistatic A version for ATEX environments.

Which pipe dimensions are compatible with SIMPLICITY?

SIMPLICITY is available in Ø40 and Ø50 mm connection sizes using quick-fit steel connector. Compatible with double bend floor wands R65081G, R65082G, R65148G and R65067G. For Ø38 mm pipe systems, use wand adapter CCR38S.

When should I choose SIMPLICITY over PROMETHEUS or ICEBERG?

SIMPLICITY is a lighter nozzle designed for sweep cleaning and lighter floor tasks on smooth surfaces. PROMETHEUS and ICEBERG are heavier and more robust — equipped with swivel coupling and adjustable wheels for continuous production cleaning over large areas. Choose SIMPLICITY when manoeuvrability and weight are prioritised over maximum robustness.

Can SIMPLICITY ATEX be used for collecting granulate and powder?

Yes — the bristle variant is well suited for collecting dry granulate, grain, starch, sugar and similar loose, solid materials. For wet-lying granulate or materials with a liquid phase, the squeegee variant with rubber lip is recommended.

Is SIMPLICITY available in an FDA-compatible version for the food industry?

Yes — the SIMPLICITY Food/Pharma version (White line) is made in stainless steel with silicone contact parts complying with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 (Wacker R 4001 80) and BfR Recommendation XV.
