Why this hose?
AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK ORANGE is developed for a specific application: vacuum trucks, suction excavators and sweeping machines. The orange colour provides extra visibility on construction sites and in municipal services, where the hose is often exposed to other vehicles and movement of heavy machinery.
The reinforced PUR wall withstands wear from gravel, stone, broken glass and construction debris -- typical media in vacuum truck applications. The microbe-resistant surface counteracts biological growth that could otherwise develop in moist residual material.
The hose is supplied in two standard sizes (Ø 200 mm and Ø 250 mm), matching the most common vacuum truck connections. If your installation has other dimensions, we advise on alternative AIRDUC PUR HD or XHD variants.

Where it is used
The hose is used on vacuum trucks, suction excavators and sweeping machines -- typically in municipal services, construction sites and industrial cleaning. Vacuum trucks take construction debris, soil and grounds maintenance waste; sweeping machines clean roads of dust and small particles.
In the construction industry for vacuuming processed stone, concrete dust and waste from renovation projects. The abrasion-resistant PUR wall is built for frequent movements and wear from hard particles.
In municipal services the hose is used on specialised vehicles maintaining streets, parks and municipal infrastructure. The orange colour is a safety property -- the hose is clearly visible to passing vehicles and pedestrians.
The formal product name is AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK ORANGE. In daily conversation we refer to it as a vacuum truck hose or VAC-TRUCK hose.

The orange colour is intentionally chosen for visibility in areas where other vehicles may run over a hose. The hose's primary advantage is the reinforced construction -- not flexibility or minimal weight. For lighter applications, a standard AIRDUC PUR HD variant is recommended.
Dimensions and ordering
AIRDUC® PUR 355 VAC-TRUCK ORANGE is supplied in 2 standard sizes: inner Ø 202.3 mm and 250 mm. These sizes match ready-made vacuum truck installations. Standard length is 15 m, and the hose can be cut to length.

Standards and compliance
The hose is tested and documented in compliance with the following standards:
- Reinforced PUR construction. The hose is built for constant wear from hard particles -- typically gravel, stone and construction debris. The PUR wall is denser and more robust than standard MD or HD variants.
- Microbe-resistant surface. The specific PUR formulation counteracts biological growth, which is relevant when handling moist residual material. It extends the hose's service life and reduces hygiene problems.
- High-visibility orange. The visibility is a safety property on construction sites and in public services. It is not a legal standard but a professionally recognised advantage.
- REACH (EC 1907/2006). EU regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals. The hose materials comply with REACH; a manufacturer declaration is available for download.
- RoHS (Directive 2011/65/EU). Restriction of Hazardous Substances -- restriction on the use of certain hazardous substances in products. The hose components comply with the RoHS limit values.

Frequently asked questions
How abrasion-resistant is the hose in practice?
Polyurethane has the highest abrasion resistance among hose materials in its class. In pneumatic conveying of granulates and powders, PUR hoses typically last 3-10 times longer than rubber or PVC hoses -- depending on velocity and particle size.
Which conveying velocity can the hose handle?
It depends on particle size, density and the hose dimension. In general, higher velocity increases wear on the hose interior and bends. We advise on optimal velocity for specific media.
Can the hose handle UV light and outdoor use?
PUR has good UV resistance compared with other thermoplastics and tolerates outdoor use. Under very intense and continuous UV exposure, routine inspection is recommended -- the material is resistant but can over time become discoloured or lose surface flexibility.
Can I have the hose cut to length?
