SuperFlex PVC 372
SuperFlex PVC 372 is a highly flexible suction and pressure hose optimised for light dust, powder and fibre extraction applications. The 0 to +85 C operating range makes the hose suitable for industrial vacuum cleaners, building drying systems and medical equipment where a flexible hose solution is required. 14 dimensions from ID 25 mm to 100 mm provide a wide portfolio, and the hose is constructed with focus on frequent movement - typical for mobile cleaning and extraction applications where the hose is dragged between use stations.

Why this hose?
The high flexibility is the key to SuperFlex PVC 372's application range. The PVC compound and spiral are specifically formulated for frequent bending - the hose can typically handle several million bending cycles over service life without the wall cracking. This is a major difference from heavy-duty industrial hoses which are typically more stiff and last fewer cycles.
Pressure falling gradually with dimension is a design consequence of PVC's elasticity. Larger dimensions require more material weight to resist the same pressure, and the hose is optimised for volume extraction rather than high pressure. This means small dimensions (25-50 mm) can handle up to 1.7 bar, while large ones (76-100 mm) are limited to 0.6-0.8 bar.
0 C lower limit (not negative) is a notable limitation. PVC becomes brittle below freezing, and the hose is specifically designed for indoor and controlled-temperature applications. For frost-exposed installations (outdoor, cold storage) we recommend a TPE-based hose tolerating -40 C.
Where it is used
Industrial cleaning uses the hose as standard industrial vacuum accessory. The operator drags the hose around in offices or factory halls, and PVC's lightness and flexibility allow it to be handled for a full workday without fatigue. The 15 m standard roll typically covers an entire cleaning installation range.
Building drying systems on new construction sites use the hose to move dry air from central drying units to moisture-exposed rooms. The flexible construction allows the hose to be moved between rooms each day without manual disassembly, and 14 different dimensions allow the same product family to cover from small homes to large commercial buildings.
Medical equipment and laboratories use the hose for local suction applications between unit and sample station. The lightweight PVC construction is ideal for table-mounted applications where a stiff hose would be cumbersome. PVC's hygienic-resistant properties are also an advantage - the hose can be cleaned with ordinary cleaning agents without the material degrading.
The hose is colloquially known as an industrial vacuum hose, extraction hose or flexible PVC hose.

Fields without a value (—) are not specified in the manufacturer's factsheet. Overpressure and underpressure values are recommended operating limits; the product can be subjected to higher loads on request. Bend radius is measured along the inside of the hose bend.
Standards and compliance
The hose is qualified per the general European quality standards for industrial hoses.
- RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU). Restriction of hazardous substances. Manufacturer declaration on file.
- REACH (EC 1907/2006). Registration of chemical substances. Manufacturer declaration on request.
- EN ISO 1307:2008. European standard for rubber and thermoplastic hoses for general use.
- EN 12115. European standard for rubber and thermoplastic hoses for liquids and chemicals.
- ISO 9001:2015. Quality management system at the manufacturer.
- EN 13501-1. European classification of building materials for fire properties. PVC has generally self-extinguishing properties.
- EU 1935/2004. Food contact regulation. The hose is NOT food-approved or medical-grade - for these applications specialised hoses are recommended.

Industries that use it
SuperFlex PVC 372 is used where a highly flexible low-pressure extraction hose must handle dust, powder or fibre - typically in industrial vacuum cleaners, building drying and medical equipment.
Industrial cleaning and vacuum cleaners are the main market. The hose is designed to be flexible enough to be dragged around in offices, across obstacles and around office furniture without becoming brittle or deforming. The PVC construction's lightness is a major advantage here - an operator can handle larger dimensions alone.
Building drying systems use the hose for mobile moisture extraction and air circulation. Building drying is typically a short-term operation (weeks to months) where the hose is moved between rooms, and PVC's compromise between lightness and flexibility is ideal for this use.
Medical equipment and laboratories use the hose for low-pressure suction applications (typically below -0.2 bar) where a flexible and lightweight hose solution is required. Note however that the hose does not have specific medical-grade approval - for direct patient contact or sterile applications we recommend specialised medical-grade hose.
Custom lengths and assemblies
The hose can be delivered cut to desired lengths. The standard roll can be supplemented with shorter pieces or multiple rolls by arrangement.

Frequently asked questions
What is SuperFlex PVC 372 particularly suitable for?
The hose is a highly flexible suction and pressure hose optimised for light dust and fibre extraction applications. The wide dimension portfolio (14 dimensions from 25 to 100 mm) makes it suitable for industrial vacuum cleaners, medical equipment and building drying installations where moderate flow rates are required.
What is the operating temperature?
0 to +85 C with peak also +85 C. Note that the hose is NOT rated for negative temperatures - PVC becomes brittle below freezing, and the hose is specifically designed for indoor applications where temperature is controlled. For frost-exposed installations we recommend a TPE or EPDM-based hose.
What is the pressure and vacuum rating?
Pressure varies per dimension: 1.7 bar on 25 mm version, falling to 0.6 bar on 100 mm. Vacuum rating likewise per dimension: 0.2 bar on 25 mm to 0.08 bar on 100 mm. This is pure low-pressure extraction rating - the hose is NOT designed for high-pressure applications.
How many dimensions are in the range?
14 dimensions from ID 25 mm to 100 mm - one of the widest in the superflex family. Standard roll length is 15 m on most dimensions; some mid-sized dimensions (51 mm) are delivered on 18 m rolls. Note that pressure falls gradually with dimension - large dimensions are primarily for low-pressure volume applications.
Is the hose ATEX-approved?
The hose has NO antistatic or conductive specification on the factsheet. The PVC wall is insulating. For ATEX zones with dust explosion risk we recommend a conductive or antistatic variant - contact us if your installation requires ATEX suitability.
Which couplings are recommended?
For low-pressure extraction, standard worm-drive clamps or quick couplings can be used. Industrial vacuum cleaners typically have specific coupling configurations matching their ID, and the hose can be adapted to these by arrangement. We typically fit couplings to the hose by arrangement.
Is the hose suitable for medical equipment?
The hose is listed under medical technology as an industry. This is a common application for light suction hoses in medical equipment and laboratory installations. Note however that the hose does not have specific medical or food approval - for direct patient contact or food contact we recommend a specialised medical-grade hose.
What makes the hose 'highly flexible'?
The PVC wall compound and the embedded spiral are specifically formulated to allow frequent bending without the wall deforming or becoming brittle. It is a design priority for industrial vacuum cleaners where the hose is typically dragged around offices, across obstacles and under furniture - a usage pattern requiring better flexibility than stationary extraction hoses.
