NORPLAST® PVC 380 GREEN
Suction and pressure hose in green-transparent PVC with rigid PVC spiral, designed for sanitary installations on vehicles and ships and for agriculture. Service from −10 °C to +60 °C. The materials meet EU 10/2011 in categories A, B and C — making the hose usable where food-compatible materials are required, for example water transport or granulates in the food chain.

Why this hose?
NORPLAST® PVC 380 GREEN is a versatile suction and pressure hose — the characteristic green-transparent colour makes it easy to identify on agri and marine installations. The rigid PVC spiral in the wall ensures the hose can both suck and push without collapsing.
The material choice meets EU 10/2011 in categories A, B and C, covering a wide range of food-contact types from dry foods (A) through fatty media (C) to general liquids (B). This makes the hose usable both in marine sanitary installations (drinking water, grey water, black water) and in agriculture's feed and water chain.
The slight corrugation on the outer cover gives flexibility without compromising the spiral's shape stability. It's a typical construction for marine and agri applications where the hose often must follow moving structures.
Where it is used
On vessels and campers the hose sits in sanitary systems — from drinking water tanks to toilet discharge. The EU 10/2011 approval makes it possible to use the same hose type throughout the system, simplifying procurement and maintenance.
In agriculture it's used for water transport between tank, pump and equipment — especially on mobile installations where the hose must follow the machine's movements without kinking or compressing.
In bulk handling it's used for granulate transport at lower pressure — for example unloading pellets or feed from tanker to silo.
In everyday talk we call it a "green agri hose" or "marine water hose" — the green colour is the sign that it's food-compatible.

Standards and compliance
NORPLAST® PVC 380 GREEN conforms to the following:
- EU 10/2011 cat. A, B, C. Materials in contact with food — category A (dry), B (aqueous), C (fatty). The hose is certified for all three, making it broadly usable in the food chain.
- REACH (EC 1907/2006). The manufacturer's REACH declaration is available for download.
- RoHS. Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of hazardous substances.

Help with material selection
Although this hose isn't ATEX-relevant, these two articles provide useful background on electrical resistance and industrial safety — important if you later combine the hose with electrical equipment or work in mixed environments:

Industries that use it
NORPLAST® PVC 380 GREEN suits marine, agri and light industrial suction and pressure applications:
On vessels and campers it's a standard choice for the entire sanitary system — from fresh water to drainage. The EU 10/2011 approval in cat. A, B and C means the same hose type can be used across the system without concern about material suitability.
In agriculture it's the first choice for water transport, especially on mobile installations like field irrigation machines and feed transport wagons. The green colour makes it easy to distinguish from other hoses in a mixed fleet.
In bulk handling it's used for granulates at low pressure. The slight corrugation on the outer cover means the hose can be flexed between connection cycles without the cover cracking.
Custom lengths and assemblies
The hose is delivered on 50 m rolls. We cut to length and fit fittings, couplings or quick-connects as a finished assembly — ideal for marine or mobile installations.
For serial deliveries we can establish consistent assembly so you get the same connection type across the delivery.

Frequently asked questions
Is NORPLAST® PVC 380 GREEN approved for drinking water?
EU 10/2011 in cat. A, B and C covers food compatibility. For official drinking water approval in specific countries (e.g. KTW in Germany or WRAS in the UK) you should cross-check whether the specific local approval is in place — contact us if you're unsure.
Can it both suck and push?
Yes. The hose is a suction and pressure hose — it can handle both positive pressure (up to 6 bar in smaller dimensions) and vacuum (up to 0.589 bar). The rigid PVC spiral in the wall prevents collapse under suction.
What does cat. A, B, C in EU 10/2011 mean?
EU 10/2011 classifies food contact types: A (dry foods), B (aqueous foods at pH > 4.5), C (acidic foods or alcoholic beverages), D1 (milk and lipid-containing foods), D2 (oils and fatty foods), E (chemicals and spices). The hose is certified for A, B and C, broadly covering common food media.
Does it tolerate hot water?
Up to +60 °C continuous. This covers drinking water applications and ordinary water transport. For CIP cleaning or heat pasteurisation it's not the right choice — choose NORFLEX® PUR 441 FOOD (up to +90 °C continuous) or a silicone hose.
Can I get it in different lengths?
Yes. The hose is delivered on 50 m rolls, and we cut to length and fit couplings as a finished assembly. For marine installations we can also fit quick-connects for quick-disconnect.
What's the difference between NORPLAST® PVC 380 GREEN and an ordinary PVC hose?
GREEN is food-compatible (EU 10/2011 A·B·C) and has a green-transparent colour so it's easily distinguished. Ordinary industrial PVC hoses are not necessarily food-grade and are typically used in industrial ventilation or bulk handling without food contact.
Is it ATEX-approved?
No. The PVC wall is insulating and the hose is neither conductive nor antistatic. For ATEX zones or environments with static-electrical risks choose a conductive or antistatic variant.
