Why this hose?
POLYFORM is the pressureless food-grade water hose — designed for applications where the medium flows by gravity or low vacuum pressure. The broad food-grade compliance (EU 10/2011 cat A·B·C + LFGB + GMP) makes the hose usable throughout the food chain.
The difference from POLYFLEX is pressureless — POLYFORM isn't designed for positive compressed air pressure. Choose POLYFORM for water flow without pump pressure; choose POLYFLEX if compressed air systems are involved.
Where it is used
In food production it's used for water supplies that flow by gravity — e.g. from elevated tanks to dosing points or for drainage systems.
In pharma it's used for light transport installations where pressureless flow is needed — e.g. rinse water or buffer media at low pressure.
In everyday talk we call it a "pressureless food hose" — the light version of the POLYFLEX family.

Fields without a value (—) are not specified in the manufacturer's factsheet. Overpressure and underpressure values are recommended operating limits; the product can be subjected to higher loads on request. Bend radius is measured along the inside of the hose bend.

Help with material selection
Although this hose isn't ATEX-relevant, these two articles provide useful background on electrical resistance and industrial safety — important if you later combine the hose with electrical equipment or work in mixed environments:
The invisible weakest link
Why a conductive or antistatic hose isn't sufficient on its own — and what grounding means for the complete system.
Know your ohm
The difference between antistatic and conductive, which resistance limits apply where, and how to measure them correctly.
Industries that use it
POLYFORM is used in pressureless food-grade installations:
In food production it sits on pressureless water installations — from drainage to rinse systems.
In pharma it's used for light transport applications where low pressure is the requirement.
Custom lengths and assemblies
The hose is delivered on 50 m rolls. We cut to length and fit fittings or hygiene couplings.
For serial deliveries we can establish consistent assembly.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between POLYFORM and POLYFLEX?
POLYFORM is pressureless — cannot handle positive pressure from compressed air systems. POLYFLEX is a flexible compressed air hose. Choose POLYFORM when the medium flows by gravity; choose POLYFLEX when positive pressure is involved.
What does pressureless mean?
The hose isn't designed for positive operating pressure. The medium must flow by gravity or very low vacuum pressure. The hose can collapse under suction or positive pressure.
Does it tolerate hot CIP?
Up to +60 °C continuous. For warmer CIP/SIP choose a silicone hose.
Is it ATEX-approved?
No. The PVC wall is insulating.
Can I use it for cable protection?
Yes. PVC's dielectric properties make it usable as protective sleeve for signal or power cables in food-grade installations.
Can I get it with hygiene couplings?
Yes. We fit SMS, DIN 11851 or standard hygiene systems.
