Three models — one platform

The MV-1CR (CV) series is Tiger-Vac's most compact containment vacuum for pharmaceutical production and cleanroom environments. What distinguishes it from a conventional cleanroom vacuum is the sealed containment HEPA filter — a canister that captures and contains collected material, allowing disposal without operator exposure to the contents. The series is available in three configurations suited to different working situations: backpack (BP) for mobile use, handheld (HH) for precision tasks, and a golfcart (GC) for upright use with easy mobility. All three share the same motor, filtration system and electrical specifications.

The containment system

The containment HEPA filter is the central element of the series. It functions as both collection chamber and final filter in a single unit: collected material is captured directly inside the sealed canister, which is rated HEPA H14 with a retention efficiency of 99.995 % at 0.3 µm. When the canister is full, it is removed whole and sealed and disposed of — the operator never needs to open it or come into contact with the contents. For the BP and GC models the canister capacity is 1.1 L (part 213260); for the HH model it is 0.4 L (part 215980).

Behind the containment canister sits the ULPA U15 filter (part 212073) as the motor protection filter. It retains 99.9995 % of all particles at 0.12 µm and is supplied with a ground clip installed. The combination of sealed containment canister and downstream ULPA U15 provides two independent filtration stages — the containment canister handles the bulk collection; the ULPA filter protects the motor and ensures the exhaust air meets the required standard.

Questions and answers

All three models share the same motor, filtration system and electrical specifications. The difference is solely in the carrying format: BP (Backpack) is an 8 kg backpack vacuum with a containment capacity of 1.1 L — suited to mobile work over larger areas. HH (HandHeld) is the lightest model at 5.4 kg with a smaller containment canister of 0.4 L — for precision tasks and work on benches or in isolators. GC (Golf Cart) is mounted on a 4-wheel stand at a height of 91 cm, weighs 6.8 kg and has the same 1.1 L containment capacity as the BP.
The containment HEPA filter is a sealed canister that serves as both collection chamber and final filter in a single unit. Collected material is captured directly inside the canister, which can then be disposed of whole and sealed — the operator never needs to open it or come into contact with the contents. The filter is rated HEPA H14 and retains 99.995 % of all particles at 0.3 µm. For the BP and GC models the canister capacity is 1.1 L (part 213260); for the HH model it is 0.4 L (part 215980). As an optional upgrade, the containment canister can be replaced with a ULPA U15 version for even higher retention efficiency.
Yes. The MV-1CR (CV) is documented as compatible with ISO Class 4 (ISO 14644-1) and is specifically designed for pharmaceutical production and biohazard applications. The unit is manufactured in stainless steel type 304, is static dissipating with a resistance below 10 ohm, and is EMI/RFI shielded. The EU Declaration of Conformity covers Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and EMC Directive 2014/30/EU.
The ULPA U15 filter (part 212073) is the primary motor protection filter, positioned downstream of the containment canister. It is rated at 99.9995 % retention efficiency at 0.12 µm in accordance with IEST-RP-CC001 and is supplied with a ground clip installed. The filter is included as standard in all three models. As an optional upgrade, the containment canister itself can be replaced with a ULPA version (part 215982 for HH, part 213261 for BP/GC), bringing both filtration stages to ULPA level.
The MV-1CR (CV) is designed for use with potent pharmaceutical compounds and, with its sealed containment system and dual HEPA/ULPA filtration, is suited for OEB 3–4. The datasheet explicitly states pharmaceutical suitability and biohazard applications. For higher OEB levels (OEB 4–5) we recommend the CWR-10 EX (CV) with a fully sealed disposable containment vessel and ATEX certification.
The standard hose (part 212070, 1.5 m) is a static dissipative ESD-safe hose and is not designed for autoclaving. For environments with strict cleaning requirements, the optional stainless steel wands (part 323331) can be wiped down with appropriate disinfectants.
