Delfin DG VL 185 PN ACD
The Delfin DG VL 185 PN ACD is the cartridge-filter variant of the DG VL series, designed for sticky or demanding dust and for 24/7 duty without interruption. Where the standard version purges the star filter between cycles, the PN version runs pneumatic filter cleaning during suction: compressed-air pulses hit the four cartridges in turn while vacuum continues, shaking the dust cake off the filter surface in real time (1350 m³/h, 4000 mmH₂O). The motor is maintenance-free, and no scheduled downtime for filter shaking is required. Certification and internal Zone 20 construction follow IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA as on the standard series.

Questions and answers
What is the difference between PN and the standard version?
The PN version has four cylindrical cartridge filters (106,000 cm² total) and runs pneumatic filter cleaning DURING suction, where the standard version uses a star filter (70,000 cm²) and SELF CLEAN between cycles. Choose PN for 24/7 duty and for sticky dust types.
Why is the PN version 13 cm taller than the standard?
The cartridge filters require more vertical space (213 cm vs 200 cm). Diameter and footprint are unchanged.
Can I use PN ACD in an ATEX Zone 22?
No. Like all ACD models, the DG VL PN ACD is certified to IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA and is intended only for non-ATEX-classified areas.
How often do the cartridge filters need replacing?
With pneumatic cleaning during suction, filter life is significantly extended -- typically 12-24 months of operation depending on dust type. Filter load is 68-127 m³/m²/h depending on model, roughly 35 % lower than the standard version.
Is the motor truly maintenance-free?
The sealed, oil-free side-channel blower has no carbon brushes or seals to replace. No scheduled motor service is needed during normal operating life. The compressor driving the cleaning system has its own service intervals specified by the manufacturer.
Is the H14 HEPA filter included?
Yes, as on the standard version. H-class HEPA H14 with 99.995 % MPPS efficiency per EN 1822-5.
