Depureco ECOBULL T H ACD INERT
The Depureco ECOBULL T H ACD INERT is the three-phase big brother to the ECOBULL M H: same 100 L INERT container and neutralisation bath, but with a 3 kW side-channel blower providing noticeably higher airflow and enabling continuous 8-hour duty on a single collection. Built for lithium-battery factories, ammunition line production and metallurgy processes where reactive dust must be collected in larger quantities without the facility being ATEX classified. INERT performance-tested to EN 17348:2022 and ACD-certified per IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA.

Questions and answers
What does INERT technology mean for the Depureco ECOBULL T H ACD INERT?
INERT technology means the Depureco ECOBULL T H ACD INERT collects reactive metal dust in a neutralising liquid bath that inactivates the particle at the moment of collection. For 1/3-phase mid-size models like this one it is decisive in mid-capacity productions -- for example continuous collection from a military shooting range, a 3D-printing production cyclone or an ammunition line.
What types of reactive dust is the Depureco ECOBULL T H ACD INERT intended for?
Reactive metallic dust in mid-production volumes: lead from frequent shooting-range operation, lithium metal from battery-cell production, aluminium and titanium powder from 3D printing in serial runs, magnesium dust from light-metal rolling, titanium swarf from aerospace production. Mid-size (45-100 L container) suits continuous duty over full shifts, not just sporadic collections.
Is the INERT system tested to EN 17348:2022?
Yes. The entire Depureco INERT range is performance-tested to EN 17348:2022. The core point of the standard is that the neutralisation system actually inactivates reactive dust under realistic operating conditions -- not just in an idealised laboratory setup. Documentation sent on request.
Why ACD rather than ATEX on this model?
ACD is used in non-ATEX-classified areas where the dust is nonetheless reactive. Many ammunition and battery-cell plants are NOT ATEX-classified -- because operation takes place in closed cabinets or because dust concentration does not reach the classification threshold. IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA covers that scenario. For formally ATEX-classified zones INERT variants also exist in the ATEX Dust category.
How is the neutralisation bath maintained?
The neutralisation bath is replaced after each fill (approx. 10-15 L of collected material for mid-INERT models). The used liquid with inactivated dust is disposed of as hazardous waste per local regulations. Fresh water + passivating agent is refilled to the maximum mark. The maintenance cycle takes 10-15 minutes and requires only personal protective equipment.
How does the HEPA H14 filter interact with the liquid bath?
The combination of neutralisation bath and HEPA H14 filter (cartridge class H13 antistatic polyester) ensures reactive dust is inactivated in the liquid, and any aerosol is caught in the filter before discharge. The filter has strong antistatic construction so it cannot itself become an ignition source. Together the two systems give an uncompromising solution for reactive dust without requiring ATEX classification of the room.
