Delfin MTL 202 ACD LP
- Pharmaceutical production outside ATEX-classified zones where contact risk must be eliminated
- Food production with hazardous or allergenic combustible dust (flour, sugar, dry milk)
- Battery and electronics production with fine dust requiring closed bag handling
- Powder-coating service zones outside the ATEX booth where the operator must not be exposed
- Chemical production areas in non-ATEX zones with regular dust collection
- IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA (ACD)
- Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU
- EMC Directive 2014/30/EU
Delfin MTL 202 ACD LP
The MTL 202 ACD LP combines the ACD certification and twin bypass-motor topology of the MTL 202 ACD with a Longopac continuous-bag system. The bag hangs in a powder-coated, electrically conductive hopper and is sealed and cut off without opening the container, so the operator never comes into direct contact with the combustible dust. A cartridge filter with Dustop cleaning keeps suction stable across extended running times -- ideal for processes in non-ATEX areas where contact risk must be eliminated.

Questions and answers
What is the difference between the MTL 202 ACD and MTL 202 ACD LP?
Both share ACD certification, two bypass motors in parallel (2.2 kW, 360 m³/h) and a cartridge filter with Dustop. The MTL 202 ACD collects dust directly in a 20-litre container, emptied manually. The MTL 202 ACD LP uses Longopac -- a continuous 20-metre bag system where the bag is sealed and cut off without opening the container. The LP variant is heavier (55 kg vs 35 kg) and slightly louder (76 vs 74 dB), but delivers markedly better handling of hazardous or allergenic dust.
What is Longopac?
Longopac is a continuous bag system where a long, folded bag hangs in the container. When the bag is full, it is sealed and cut off without opening the container -- the operator does not come into direct contact with the content. This is particularly valuable with combustible or hazardous dust, where exposure must be minimized.
Why is the hopper electrically conductive powder-coated?
The hopper in which the Longopac bag hangs is coated with an electrically conductive powder coating. This prevents static electricity from accumulating and ensures that the bag and hopper are grounded -- a critical ESD safety measure when handling combustible dust, even in non-ATEX areas.
Can the MTL 202 ACD LP be used in an ATEX-classified zone?
No. The MTL 202 ACD LP is certified to IEC 60335-2-69 Annex AA (ACD) and intended only for non-ATEX-classified areas. For classified zones, choose a model from our ATEX range -- for example the MTL 202 1/2D LP, which also has Longopac but is certified for Zone 21.
What does the Dustop filter cleaning do?
Dustop is Delfin's integrated filter cleaning system. Pressing a handle shakes the cartridge filter so accumulated dust drops into the Longopac bag and the filter's pressure drop is restored. This extends filter life and delivers stable suction across extended runs without opening the container.
What filter class is fitted?
Filter class H with an absolute HEPA H14 filter per EN 1822 (99.995 % MPPS), 20,500 cm². The primary filter is a polyester ANT M-class cartridge of 30,000 cm² (Ø 360 mm) with Dustop cleaning.
