Depureco AC 65 Z2/22
The AC 65 Z2/22 is Depureco's mid-tier compressed-air vacuum: same ATEX certification as the MINIAIR (II 3D Ex h IIIC T140 Dc + II 3G Ex h IIB T3 Gc, Zone 22 dust + Zone 2 gas), but with a large venturi tube, 65 L container and a noticeably wider 24,000 cm2 star filter. It is the step-up for process plants where collection volume exceeds what a 45 L chassis can handle. 480 m3/h suction through the 80 mm tangential inlet improves pickup of heavy grains and lengthens the interval before the filter needs cleaning. Air consumption is paradoxically lower than the MINIAIR -- 1233 Nl/min at 6-8 bar versus the MINIAIR's 2500 -- because the venturi-tube design is more air-efficient than two separate ejectors. Noise level: 70 dB(A).

Questions and answers
Why is the model called AC?
AC stands for 'Aspiratore Compresso' -- Italian for compressed-air vacuum. It is Depureco's range of pneumatic venturi-based industrial vacuums. The AC number (65, 100, 250...) refers to the container size in litres.
Can I upgrade to AC 100 later?
Yes. The AC 65 and AC 100 Z2/22 share the same chassis footprint, the same ATEX certification and the same interface -- the only difference is container depth. Upgrade can be done as a container-swap at Depureco or at Particulair service. Contact us to evaluate your configuration.
Why is the filter only M class and not H14?
The AC range is primarily intended as a process collector where volume, not fineness, is the challenge. The M class star filter handles MPA-grade dust and is enough for most process rooms. If CMR substances or pharmaceuticals are handled, choose a variant with H14 -- see the AC 65 Z20/21, where HEPA is standard.
Can the AC 65 Z2/22 be used in Zone 1 gas?
No. The ATEX certification is only II 3G -- Gc EPL -- which covers Zone 2 gas (infrequent, short-term). Zone 1 gas requires Gb or Ga EPL, which is a different motor class (1/2G or 1G). If Zone 1 is needed, the solution should be a Delfin MTL 4533 or similar 2G-certified unit. Contact us for a recommendation.
Does the AC 65 use the same hoses as electric vacuums?
Yes. The suction hose is a 80 mm standard flange and can use all Depureco and third-party accessories with the 80 mm interface. The difference is the air line (12 mm quick-coupler) -- that is new compared to electric AC ranges.
