Tiger-Vac CD-10/7 EX (APS-EXTENDED) 2GD Z1-2-21-22

The Tiger-Vac CD-10/7 EX (APS-EXTENDED) 2GD Z1-2-21-22 (111294B1) is the Automatic Purge System variant of the CD-10/7 EXTENDED platform. Marked II 1/2GD 3rd party. The APS system uses 3 conductive aluminised spun bond reverse purge cartridges in parallel and 3 fully integrated diaphragm valves with pneumatic or electric timers -- automatic filter cleaning without operator intervention. 5.5 kW TEFC at 11.5 A delivers 500 m3/h at 2540 mmH2O. 56.8 L AISI 304 detachable tank with EXTENDED Middle Ring construction. The APS version is ideal for unattended operation, long shifts or central extraction systems where manual reverse purge is impractical. Filter cleaning happens automatically at predefined intervals (typically 5-30 minutes depending on dust loading).

Applications

  • Unattended operation where manual reverse purge is impractical
  • Central extraction systems that must run continuously without operator intervention
  • Long industrial shifts where APS reduces operator workload
  • Process production with consistent dust loading where automatic timing is optimal
  • Pharma pilot plants with 24/7 operation and combined zone marking

Questions and answers

What does "EXTENDED" mean in the model name?

EXTENDED refers to increased filter capacity through an extended Middle Ring construction. It gives longer filter life between service intervals -- an advantage in continuous industrial duty. EXTENDED versions are Tiger-Vac's high-end industrial grade in the CD-10/7 series.

What is the difference between MRP and APS?

MRP (Manual Reverse Purge) requires the operator to manually activate the purge cycle via gate valve and purge button. APS (Automatic Purge System) uses 3 fully integrated diaphragm valves with pneumatic or electric timers that automatically clean the filter at fixed intervals. Choose MRP if continuous monitoring is practical and you want direct operator control; choose APS when the unit runs unattended or on long shifts without need for operator intervention.

Why 324 kg weight -- so heavy?

The 5.5 kW TEFC motor with EXTENDED Middle Ring construction and full AISI 304 stainless steel housing plus heavy duty cart comes to 324 kg total. This is an industrial heavyweight -- not a mobile housekeeping machine. Weight is distributed on a cart with large diameter rolling wheels so it can be rolled by two operators over level floor. For lifting, a sloping ramp or forklift is needed.

Why a see-thru polyester safety filter upstream?

The see-thru polyester safety filter element sits upstream of the reverse purge cartridge and acts as a second filtration stage. It is see-thru (transparent) so the operator can visually see when it starts to clog up -- a simple diagnostic function. If the cartridge gets a tear or puncture, the safety filter catches the remaining dust and prevents release through the exhaust -- a mechanical fail-safe in compliance with the ATEX directive.

Why is the sound level not listed?

Tiger-Vac's brochure for the CD-10/7 EX (MRP-EXTENDED) does not state the sound level in its specifications table. Three-phase 5.5 kW TEFC motors typically run at 76-82 dB(A) at full load, but the exact value depends on motor balance, hose length and room size. Contact us for a measured value for a specific installation if it is critical for the occupational health assessment.
