Tiger-Vac CD-1200 EX Stainless Steel CAT. 2GD Z1-21

The Tiger-Vac CD-1200 EX (113045B1) is a stationary stainless-steel dust collector for ATEX areas. It is certified II 1/2GD for use in gas Zones 1 and 2 and dust Zones 21 and 22, and to EN 17348 DT for collecting combustible dust. A 4 kW TEFC motor moves 2,000 m³/h through a conductive aluminised cartridge filter of 12 m², and the dust collects in a 10 L drawer. The unit is available with manual filter cleaning (MRP) or automatic filter cleaning (ARP, -AUTO). A stainless-steel HEPA module can be fitted at the factory.

CD-1200: how to replace the filter cartridge

Questions and answers

Which ATEX zones is the CD-1200 EX 2GD certified for?

The marking is II 1/2GD. Externally the unit is category 2 (Gb/Db) and may be used in gas Zones 1 and 2 and dust Zones 21 and 22. Internally it is marked Ga/Da, i.e. category 1. It is certified to EN 17348 DT for collecting combustible dust (LCIE 03 ATEX 6295 X, IECEx LCI 10.0040X).

What is the difference between MRP and ARP?

Both clean the filter cartridge with a burst of compressed air from behind (reverse purge). With MRP (Manual Reverse Purge) the operator triggers the cleaning. With ARP (Automatic Reverse Purge) it happens automatically, and the part number carries -AUTO.

How does the CD-1200 EX differ from the CD-600 EX?

The CD-1200 EX moves 2,000 m³/h with a 4 kW motor and has no HEPA as standard. The CD-600 EX moves 1,000 m³/h, has a HEPA afterfilter as standard and is also available for 230 V. Both share the same ATEX certification and a 10 L drawer.

Can it pick up liquids?

No. The CD-1200 EX is for dry recovery only, per EN 17348 DT.

Does the CD-1200 EX have a HEPA filter?

Not as standard. The standard filter is a 12 m² conductive cartridge. A stainless-steel HEPA module (218072) can be fitted at the factory and must therefore be ordered with the unit.
