Tiger-Vac SS-15 (4W) RE HEPA
The Tiger-Vac SS-15 (4W) RE HEPA is the air-driven sister to the electric EXP1-15 (4W) RE. Suction is created by a single 6 mm venturi, so the unit has neither motor nor electrical parts and is certified in temperature class T6 with a maximum surface temperature of 85 °C. It is marked II 2GD to EN 17348 DT/LC for dry recovery of combustible dust and wet recovery of flammable liquids, and it is third-party certified under both ATEX (LCIE 03 ATEX 6310 X) and IECEx (LCIE 17.0076 X). The tank holds 38 L of dust or 47.3 L of liquid, the whole unit is AISI 304 stainless steel with under 10 ohms of resistivity, and HEPA H14 comes as standard. The unit can be used in cleanrooms up to ISO Class 4 and needs a compressor of at least 15 HP delivering 21.2 L/s at 5.5 bar.

Questions and answers
What does II 2GD Ex h IIC T6 Gb mean in the marking?
II 2GD means equipment group II and category 2 for both gas and dust. The unit may be used in areas where an explosive atmosphere occasionally occurs during normal operation, i.e. externally in Zone 1 for gas and Zone 21 for dust. Ex h is the protection method for non-electrical equipment, IIC is the most demanding gas group, and T6 means a maximum surface temperature of 85 °C.
What is the difference between the SS-10 and the SS-15 (4W) RE HEPA?
Everything is identical (venturi, airflow, vacuum, filters and ATEX marking) except the tank and therefore height and weight. SS-10: 22.7 L dust / 28.5 L liquid, 84 cm tall, 27 kg. SS-15: 38 L dust / 47.3 L liquid, 99 cm tall, 31 kg.
Which liquids may I pick up?
The unit is marked EN 17348 DT/LC and may therefore recover flammable liquids as well as dry combustible dust. Whether a given liquid may be picked up in your zone is decided by your zone assessment, based on the liquid's gas group and temperature class. The unit is approved for the most demanding gas group IIC and temperature class T6.
Is the HEPA filter standard or optional?
Standard. HEPA H14 (211027B) at 99.995 % efficiency at 0.3 µm, tested to IEST-RP-CC001 and MPPS to EN 1822, is included. Every HEPA system is aerosol leak tested before it leaves the factory.
How is the collected material handled safely?
A conductive poly liner (212100B) goes into the tank before use and is held in place by the retainer plate 213780. When the tank is full, the liner is sealed and disposed of without direct contact with the material. Poly liner and retainer plate are optional.
What compressed air does the unit need?
A compressor of at least 15 HP delivering 21.2 L/s (1272 Nl/min) at 5.5 bar, and a 1/2" (12.7 mm) air line. A 15 m air supply hose with quick disconnects is included. Tiger-Vac states that performance may vary with the compressor.
