Depureco BL PRO DEX 1/3D

The Depureco BL PRO DEX 1/3D is the BL chassis's dual-certified model -- 1.1 kW brushless motor with ATEX marking II 1/3D Ex h IIIC T140 Da/Dc for zone 22 external + zone 20 internal. 38 L container, HEPA H14 as E11 inlet included, grounding and chassis bonding. Dimensions 516 x 545 x 1000 mm, 38 kg -- one of the market's most mobile ATEX vacuums for medium-sized service work. The brushless motor runs cooler than brushed motors and typically has 3-5x longer life, important in classified environments where machine surface temperature must be kept low.

Questions and answers

What does dual-cert mean on the BL PRO DEX 1/3D?

The same chassis and same code (A1280) is approved for two different ATEX external zones: Zone 22 (1/3D) and Zone 21 (1/2D). We have chosen to present them as two separate product pages so you can quickly match your need. Specifications are identical on both pages -- the difference is only the certification and the zone you install in.

Is the BL PRO DEX 1/3D certified for Zone 21 external?

Yes -- see our sibling page [bl-pro-dex-1-2d](/ex-vac/en/atex-dust/z20-21-1-2d/bl-pro-dex-1-2d/). It is the same model, same code, but certified for zone 21 external instead of zone 22 external.

Why a brushless motor instead of a side-channel blower?

Brushless (BLDC) motors have no carbon brushes that wear and release sparks -- important in ATEX environments where motor heat and spark generation must be minimised. They also run cooler (typically 15-20°C lower surface temperature) and have 3-5x the life of brushed motors. The BL range is therefore ideal for mobile service tasks where the motor gets many short start-stop cycles.

How heavy and how big is the BL PRO DEX 1/3D?

38 L container in AISI 304, total weight 38-45 kg depending on variant. Compact chassis that fits through standard doorways. A single operator can handle the machine on wheels and handle. Very mobile compared to ECOBULL (95 kg) or PUMA (270-620 kg).

Which filter does the model have?

Star filter antistatic polyester M class, 6,000 cm2. HEPA H14 E11 inlet is included as standard -- E11 is a pre-filter that removes the largest particles before the HEPA, which significantly extends HEPA life. The antistatic polyester main filter conducts static charge away and ensures ATEX conformity.

Can the BL range be used as a central system?

No -- the BL range is designed for mobile service work, not central installation. The power (1.1 kW) and airflow (190 m3/h) are sufficient for single-point collection with 3-5 m hose, but not for manifold distribution or long hose runs. For central system or heavy industry, choose PUMA DEX or PUMA HD DEX.
