Delfin DG 75 AF PN
The Delfin DG 75 AF PN is the cartridge version of the DG 75 AF and the top model in the PN line-up: the same 7.5 kW side-channel blower and the family's highest airflow (700 m³/h) as the base model, but with three self-cleaning antistatic class M cartridge filters (80,000 cm² total) and automatic pneumatic cleaning via compressed air during operation. The cabinet is 320 mm taller than the base model (total height 2070 mm). Self-certified per EN 17348:2022 in category 3D and sized for Zone 22 central vacuum installations and productions with light or voluminous dust.

Questions and answers
Is it ATEX-certified or self-certified?
It is self-certified by Delfin per EN 17348:2022 in category 3D. For category 3, the ATEX Directive permits manufacturer self-certification, provided the requirements of the harmonised standard are met. The marking is II 3D Ex h tc IIIC T80°C (Int)/T165°C (Ext) Dc.
Why are two vacuum values shown on the datasheet?
The model has a pressure relief valve fitted as standard. The valve admits false air at a set vacuum (2700 mmH²O) and thereby prevents the side-channel blower from being overloaded by blocked filters or a closed hose. The higher value (3200 mmH²O) is the theoretical maximum vacuum without valve activation. Both values are indicative and measured in new condition.
How is the dust collected — is there a bag?
The dust is collected in an open antistatic plastic bag placed in the container. The bag is held in place by a vacuum kit fitted at commissioning, which uses the container vacuum to press the bag against the container wall. The automatic pneumatic cleaning of the cartridge filters only shakes accumulated dust off the filter medium into the container — the bag principle is unchanged from the base Delfin DG 75 AF model.
Is it certified for Zone 21 or Zone 20?
No. The model is categorised as 3D Dc, which only covers Zone 22. For Zone 21 or internal Zone 20, a 1/2D or 1/3D model must be used — for example the Delfin MTL 301 1/3D, MTL 201 1/2D or DM2 EL 1/2D LP. Contact Particulair if you are unsure which zone classification your production requires.
Can it run continuously for 8-16 hours?
Yes. The side-channel blower is oil-free and has long service life under continuous operation — that is the reason the technology is preferred on the MTL/DG range over bypass or brushless motors. The pressure relief valve protects against overload from filter blockage, the motor is rated for continuous duty (S1), and the PN version's pneumatic filter cleaning further extends the interval between manual filter service stops.
What does PN mean, how does the pneumatic filter cleaning work, and when should I choose PN over the base model?
PN stands for pneumatic cleaning system (Italian: pulizia neumatica). The three class M cartridge filters are mounted vertically above the collection container, and during operation a controlled solenoid-valve system sends short compressed-air pulses into the clean side of the cartridges at fixed intervals. The pulse shakes the accumulated dust off the filter medium from the inside so it falls into the collection container — without interrupting suction. Over time this significantly extends the operating interval between manual filter service stops: the base model requires manual shaking or cleaning when the star/pocket filter clogs; the PN version keeps itself clean during operation. Choose PN if (a) you run continuously and manual cleaning would force a production stop, (b) your dust is fine or greasy and clogs the primary filter quickly, or (c) you have a central vacuum installation with limited filter access. Choose the base Delfin DG 75 AF model if cabinet height is a constraint (PN is 320 mm taller) or if compressed air is not available at the installation site.
