Depureco ECOBULL M DEX 1/3D
The Depureco ECOBULL M DEX 1/3D is the ECOBULL chassis with 1/3D certification -- Zone 22 external and Zone 20 internal. Single-phase 1.8 kW side-channel blower, 65 L AISI 304 container and 240 m3/h airflow at 180 mbar vacuum. Star filter antistatic polyester (24,000 cm2) with manual cleaning and relief valve included. The ATEX marking II 1/3D Ex h IIIC T160 Da/Dc covers combustible dust collected internally under classified conditions (Zone 20 in the container) and Zone 22 external category 3. Typical use: powder coating, plastics, pharma where the dust itself poses an ignition risk inside the container.
Applications
- Powder coating with internal Zone 20 collection
- Plastics and polymer production with combustible fractions
- Pharma and API handling with ATEX classification
- Medium-sized production stations requiring 1/3D certification

Questions and answers
What does 1/3D mean in the model name?
1/3D is the ATEX category: internal Zone 20 (category 1D) + external Zone 22 (category 3D). The machine may stand outside in Zone 22 and simultaneously collect combustible dust internally where the dust container itself presents a constant ignition risk (Zone 20).
What is the difference between DEX 1/3D and ATEX SP 3D?
DEX 1/3D has a star filter 24,000 cm2 with manual cleaning -- cheaper, longer filter life, but requires periodic manual cleaning. ATEX SP 3D has a 3x cartridge filter 90,000 cm2 with automatic reverse jet cleaning -- built for continuous operation without operator intervention. Most important: DEX 1/3D is 1/3D certified (internal Zone 20); ATEX SP 3D is only 3D (Zone 22 external).
What filter material and class does the ECOBULL M DEX 1/3D have?
Star filter antistatic polyester M class with 24,000 cm2 filter surface. The antistatic coating conducts static charge away from the filter surface -- important in ATEX environment. M class is standard; H class HEPA H14 can be ordered as an option for hazardous or radioactive dust.
How large is the container on the ECOBULL M DEX 1/3D?
65 L AISI 304 container with low-level detachment -- pulled out below the machine for emptying. Grounding ensured via chassis bonding. Accessories include bag-in-container and safe-change BIBO if the dust must not contact the operator.
Can the ECOBULL M DEX 1/3D be used for metal dust?
Partially. Soft-metal dust (e.g. aluminium, magnesium) in small quantities is OK with antistatic polyester filter and grounding. Heavy-metal grinding chips (steel, iron) can generate sparks -- choose PUMA HD DEX 1/3D with stronger chassis and larger filter surface. Reactive metals (titanium, zirconium) require the INERT variant (BL 45 DEX INERT).
Is the model mobile?
Yes. 95 kg with wheels and handle -- can be moved between workstations by a single operator. Lighter than TX Z22 (130 kg) but heavier than the BL range (38-45 kg). Dimensions 660 x 800 x 1630 mm. Fits through a standard doorway.
