Depureco FOX 7,5 SP DEX 1/2D
The FOX 7.5 SP DEX 1/2D dedicates 5.5 kW to multiple simultaneous pickup points: 550 m3/h at 240 mbar lets an 80 mm T-branch or three points on a central installation run simultaneously without pressure-drop problems. Cartridge filter with automatic reverse jet cleaning means the machine is operator-free even under shift-based operation with varying dust loads. ATEX II 1/2D Ex htc IIIC T140°C Da/Dc, H14 HEPA included.

Questions and answers
How often does the reverse jet pulse at full load?
Pulse interval is adaptive. At low load: about every 60 seconds per cartridge. At high load (fully dust-laden, pressure drop >40 mbar): interval shortens automatically to about 15-20 seconds. The panel measures pressure drop across the filter and governs the pulse. No operator intervention required -- but you can see pulse frequency on the display. High pulse frequency sustained over time indicates the filter is due for replacement.
Does the FOX 7.5 SP suit painted wood dust or MDF sanding residue?
Yes, with one caveat: painted wood dust can contain polymer particles that melt under high filter pressure. The star filter on the DEX variant will quickly bake shut due to this melting. The cartridge with reverse-jet cleaning (SP variant) tolerates it far better because the pulse knocks particles loose before they can melt. For MDF sanding residue: the SP variant is the right choice.
Which GX variant (stainless steel) should I choose?
Standard FOX 7.5 SP ships with painted steel frame + AISI 304 dust container. The GX option (540 EUR) upgrades both container AND filter chamber to AISI 304 stainless. Relevant if your dust is corrosive (salts, acids, some metal oxides), or if you need to CIP clean (food/pharma). Save 540 EUR if the dust is inert.
Is the Spark Trap (TAN) required for my Zone 21 installation?
Not always, but often recommended. The Spark Trap TAN (1,020 EUR) catches sparks before they reach the filter -- relevant if your dust contains metallic particles from sanding, sawing or welding. Your installation's ATEX documentation should evaluate it. If the dust is purely organic (food, pharma, plastic), TAN is often unnecessary. If in doubt: TAN is cheap insurance against friction-spark initiated explosion.
